Steve
In the socialist mindset I've been in for a year or two now, I say garnish the money of the CEO and top officers if necessary to pay people back or the cost of flying them back at another airline. With regard to fuel prices, in my uni Investments class I recall the professor saying that any large business that relies on any commondity has an arbitrage department that trades in that commodity to guard against price swings. That airline companies either on their own through a brokerage house buys futures contracts that locks in prices and guards against price swings that can go against them. Major farm conglomerates do the same. So, how can an airline be caught out over the price of fuel? Or was I asleep too much in that class (and I was) to understand the concept? Julian2
Caveat emptor. The worse thing that will happen to the CEO is his bonus may be reduced a little.
Redbaron
They said last night ..if you paid by credit card you would be ok for a refund... TB got it in one - buyer beware exactly, which is why I shall simply buy a ticket home soon - you get what you pay for. This will be an inconvenience rather than a disaster. It's all very well locking down the price, but if you don't have the money to pay for it then you're still f*cked!
dean
For those Air Australian passengers close to the 30 day visa limit while in LOS, I wonder if Thai officials will be lenient with them.

Torney will organize a refund of the overstay fine! but only if you paid the overstay fine by credit card!
