I would have used salivary but I was dumbing it down for the audience.
Would you care to vet my grammar?

Dear Bill, I woke up this morning and the sun was shining and it was a beautiful day. The some clouds came and now it's raining. It has also got cooler, quite nippy in fact. My climate has changed, is there a support line? Can I get a refund?

I read somewhere else that the BIB have said that he was wearing the same shirt as in the photo in the arrest warrant. Which begs the question, what if he'd worn a different shirt? would they have noticed him?

Yes the DNA issue is a problem, the main issue is that we (right thinking people) have to believe that, having got DNA from the various parties, that the Thai Police did not exchange or re-lable the samples to fit their investigative outcome.

Automata - Future with robots - Antonio Banderas, looking reminiscent of Ben Kingsley. Dirty, Gritty. Worth a watch.
Edge of Tomorrow - quite a good groundhog-day/transformers/Tom Cruise movie - action filled - Well worth a watch.
A Most Wanted Man - Philip Seymour Hoffman, Willem Dafoe and others - a very good movie - Very well worth a watch.

My rejoinder would be, it's a great place but for the Ossies...

how clean the water and beaches were compared to Thailand
Whilst I am sure that pre 1950 beaches in LOS were lovely, they are not now. Beaches in OZ and NZ are by and large, excellent. Not only LOS suffers from degraded beaches, I went to Ha Long Bay in Vietnam and was really put off, by the amount of shit and rubbish in the water and the boat congestion, in what was supposed to be a National beauty spot.
wonder if it is really that good, why so many Australian men would want to come to Thailand in the first place. Is it as simple that it is less expensive, and easier to find younger pretty women or is there more to it.For all but the upper 10% of the most handsome and wealthy men, in the west, the women in the west are ballbreakers. Hard-nosed bitches with an over-inflated sense of entitlement. So when a western man encounters younger pretty women, who can roll in the hay at a moments notice, in LOS, he is of course, amazed. I know fellows, on their return from their first trip to LOS have said, "I never knew, I just never knew...". Add to that smaller prices (for now) and holidays are a no brainer.

Ok why?
Lao people are very friendly, it really is like LOS 30 years ago but with cellphones, no in your face sanuk, but still a wonderful place. If it's cowboy 20 years ago that's needed, Laos is not the place however.

How new technology is shaking up the oldest business
WARNING: We rarely feel the need to alert readers to explicit content. But our discussion of the online sex trade requires frank language, and some may find the topic distasteful.
FOR those seeking commercial sex in Berlin, Peppr, a new app, makes life easy. Type in a location and up pops a list of the nearest prostitutes, along with pictures, prices and physical particulars. Results can be filtered, and users can arrange a session for a €5-10 ($6.50-13) booking fee. It plans to expand to more cities.
Peppr can operate openly since prostitution, and the advertising of prostitution, are both legal in Germany. But even where they are not, the internet is transforming the sex trade. Prostitutes and punters have always struggled to find each other, and to find out what they want to know before pairing off. Phone-box “tart cards†for blonde bombshells and leggy señoritas could only catch so many eyes. Customers knew little about the nature and quality of the services on offer. Personal recommendations, though helpful, were awkward to come by. Sex workers did not know what risks they were taking on with clients.
Now specialist websites and apps are allowing information to flow between buyer and seller, making it easier to strike mutually satisfactory deals. The sex trade is becoming easier to enter and safer to work in: prostitutes can warn each other about violent clients, and do background and health checks before taking a booking. Personal web pages allow them to advertise and arrange meetings online; their clients’ feedback on review sites helps others to proceed with confidence.

Ahh, we learn more about Thai-ness, if you see anyone "off their head" on drugs and such, it is permissible, nay, incumbent on one, to beat, said wasted person into unconsciousness, in order to prevent accidental harm befalling them.
Try that on a drunk Thai...

30 years ago, when I went to Japan, shoplifting was unknown, the locals just didn't do it.
A seaman acquaintance of mine, told me once that his crew, whenever they were in a Japanese port, would just take stuff from shops and walk. The Japanese, too horrified to do anything about them.

I've never "got" the planet of the apes movies, other than to see how they did them and marvel (not) at the special effects. The Ape's performances are far too Anthropomorphic for my sensibilities.
