Not strictly a movie I have watched, as it hasn't been made yet, but I feel a comment coming on...
Photos show Michael Fassbender as Steve Jobs, Seth Rogen as Steve Wozniak in upcoming film
I will be interested to see if Seth Rogen can shake his "Pot Head, Dick Head" persona that he brings to all his movie roles. Or conversely, how Steve Wozniak will feel being portrayed as a "Pot Head, Dick Head".

Redirected 2014 - Entertaining romp through Lithuania, by a group of idiots who've fallen foul of Vinnie Jones and his gang. Lots of pork, violence, nudity, guns and some quite good humour. If Lithuania is anything like it's portrayed in the movie, it could be worth a road trip. 1/2 in English 1/2 in Lithuanian, my movie had no subtitles, but this may be intentional, the Lithuanian dialogue was easy to guess given the situational comedy. Proudly made by Lithuanians - Well worth a watch.

Interstellar 2014 - Very good, despite liberties being taken with the science, well worth a watch
Murder on the Orient Express 1974 - 1st time I've seen this, deservedly a Classic, worth a watch
Lawless 2012 - Very good - would watch again after a few months, well worth a watch

Hobbit Five Armies - satisfying, if a little pedestrian conclusion to the Hobbit trilogy and a link to the first Lord of the Rings movie.
I think that after a year or two, the whole six movies could make a day or a weekend's viewing, in the middle of a rainy winter.

Very refreshing, and again raises the question,
"Why would these folks want to go to a country full of infidels, public women and alcohol etc. Then try and convert it into a barren, rock strewn sandpit like they came from?"
Wouldn't it:
a/ be easier to stay home?
b/ be a sin to leave the wonderful society they've built and expose themselves to western hedonism?
On the other hand, good that they have a right to peacefully protest without being lynched.
And good that the Aussies gave them 'what for'.
BTW "Where are the Women?" is a phrase we all should remember if we encounter like situations.
And calling them ZZtop is unwarranted, it's an insult to American Rock and the god of American Rock, Arthur Brown who could realistically unleash Fire on events like this.

The Little Death 2014 - 'stryne film - several interwoven stories - subject matter is sexual deviancies, if deviancies is not too strong a word. I thought this very good, made me laugh out loud several times. Not hollywood humour though, better. Well worth a watch, I recommend.

Fury. A local critic called it a B movie, but a very good B movie. I would agree, definitely worth the price of admission. It's gritty and realistic in some ways.
Excellent production values, but despite a good try, it really is bunch of arty actors trying to portray the reality of war. I would wager that some on this board could give us a 15 minute rundown on reality in conflict. But then it wouldn't be suitable for "Gosh Golly Big Box Office"! - worth a watch if only to see how tanks fight in wars

" people would finally realise what Thaksin was up to"
Not that numerous 'Farangs', on boards such as this and in just about all the media, didn't warn them or anything...

Confessions of a Dangerous Mind 2002 - quite good, worth a watch
Green Zone - 'merica in Iraq, Baghdad - fist pumping action with guns - oh, and it has a plot

A Walk Among the Tombstones 2014 - mentioned previously I think, Liam Neeson, good movie, worth a watch.
The Russia House 1990 - Sean Connery, Michelle Pfeiffer, engaging cold war spy story, romance, worth a watch.
-
Hickey and Boggs 1972 - Bill Cosby, Robert Culp, not bad, as previously mentioned - worth a watch.
I Origins 2014 - started like a bunch of young girly film students would make a movie, got better, then quite good, then tailed off. Worth a watch if you ever need to have justification to give the director a slap.
Pineapple Express 2008 - James Franco and Seth Rogen - pot heads - worth a watch.

Four Lions 2010
Probably already mentioned here but a funny movie, touching on the current attacks in Paris and the Boston marathon. Hilarious at times and serious as well
Yes, very funny...

Nice tv show, and it's worth restating:
All of the things that people are doing or want to do, in the combat of climate change, are great! (with the possible exception of taxes) I hate pollution and rainforest clearing and shark finning and excess use of resources. I love renewable energy, less chemicals in the food supply, peaceable debate and women who shave.
But that still doesn't mean that man is responsible for, or can reverse, Global Warming, if there is any.

Cant see it outside Australia, it says.
You have to remember that for every beach that's washed away, every coral atoll that disappears, another beach is formed and another atoll appears.
There are studies of Pacific atolls with photos showing coral atolls that have happily grown in size since the seventies and beaches do form by wave action.
Indeed, my favourite fishing spot at Piha in Auckland, which is accessed by a walk around the rocks and through a hole in a headland, has become much more accessible recently. For the 25 years prior to 2011 that I've been fishing this place, access was dangerous at mid to high tide due to the beach being under the surf and the erstwhile fisherman having to rock climb around several precipitous areas. Now in 2014/15, the beach is, by my estimation at least 5 metres higher, a huge volume of sand has been deposited, making access, mostly, an easy walk except at the highest of tides.
The sea is not retreating, the beach is advancing, oh no! If this trend continues NZ will be covered by sand by 2075, give me a Nobel prize please !
