  1. To be honest I think it is a good thing: The C919 forms part of China's long-term goal to break Airbus and Boeing's duopoly https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comac_C919
  2. So it flooded in feet .... over a distance in meters ......... the world uses metric not feet .. but please do not confuse us by using both in the same sentence

  5. Syria is getting more of a bloody mess day by day. Turkey bombing the Kurds instead of Isis, the West supporting the Kurds against Isis and Assad, The Russians supporting Assad now interfering, the Arab countries bombing everyone but Assad .... it is really a totally fucked up situation. I really do not blame any Syrian, whether economic or real refugee to wanting to get out of this mess! Luckily Syria's population only stands at 17 million and I feel that even if all 17 mill would come to Europe we would be able to absorb all of them. The Eastern European countries should be handled harder. You want the benefits of the EU also take the burdens! I agree with BuBi, most Syrians seem well educated, so if guided well they could benefit the countries they are settling in. Unfortunately there is always the 5% idiots whom will blow it for the other 95%. I suggest execution for those.

To Coss: 95% of the people will not cause any problems to their new homes. Apart from it all most Syrians have a reasonable education. But you will also have 5% trouble makers. And that 5% is what worries me, they can hold their new host countries to hostage and turn the moods against the 95% good people as well. I personally feel that anyone showing any sign of making any kind of trouble in their new homes should be extradited to Assad or Isis.
  7. For short trips it is ok. I just really hate living there. I hate the system and all the rules. It is perfect if you want a life that is all arranged. But if your lifestyle is out of the box the Netherlands is the worst place to be. Now in Hong Kong on a layover where the internet is magically fully accessible again
  8. Ok I did use TOR when in Thailand. But it could be slow as hell Will install when back in Holland on monday. Hope for a next flight soon
  9. a vpn is really a fucking necessity here. The block 99% of the websites here it seems even innocent ones like games.
  10. Well just to let everyone know i am alive. My 8th trip already since I came to the Netherlands, 5 times Manila, 1 time Beijing and now 2nd time Shanghai. I am 2-3 days in the Netherlands between flights. Which is great because the less time I have to spend in the Netherlands the better! 1st trip with my own tablet. I finally bought one Samsung Galaxy S2 I believe. Should look at the package again when I am back. Comes with bluetooth keyboard. Next thing install VPN before my next trip to China. They block almost everything here . Herr Sanuk, will call you when I am in the Netherlands again.

  13. Police to Announce Arrest in Bombing Investigation http://www.khaosodenglish.com/detail.php?newsid=1441094842 BANGKOK — A photograph has been released of a suspect arrested today near the border with Cambodia in eastern Thailand. The photograph was released by the military government as word spreads of a pending announcement an arrest has been made of another suspect in the deadly bombing of the Erawan Shrine earlier this month, according to sources. The arrest was reportedly made in Sa Kaeo province. Conflicting accounts indicate whether the suspect is the so-called "yellow shirted man," but three messages posted to Twitter by Bangkok Post reporter Wassana Nanuam said she was told by Prime Minister Gen. Prayuth Chan-ocha the man is the prime suspect in the attack on the Erawan Shrine, which killed 20 people earlier this month. In one message, Wassana said the arrest happened in Sa Kaeo province near the border with Cambodia, citing Prayuth as her direct source. According to Wassana, Gen. Prayuth said the suspect is a foreigner. Meanwhile police spokesman Prawuth Thawornsiri, who is expected to give a public address at around 3:30pm, has played down reports he is the man. Meanwhile three new arrest warrants have been issued this afternoon for three men. The warrants indicate their nationality as Turkish. Their names (transcribed from Thai) are Ali Jolan, Ahmet Bozoglan and a third unidentified man. All three are charged with illegal possesion of explosives.

  15. I looked at the board of itif and it consists of US senators and other US politicians. So I would not consider it a reliable source no.

  17. Hmm one advantage to Holland .... thse sites are not blocked here
  18. opting in is better than opting out as most people would not be aware that they could opt out and for the thai ladies info .... the european parliament DOES get elected! So they are not unelected lawmakers .......
  19. Maybe the Thais could order from the Germans for a discount. If they add 3 subs to the Saudi order of 5 they should become cheaper! And we all know the high quality of german submarines! And yes they used them in very shallow water in wwII as well.
  20. The more easy the money comes in .... the more easy you spend it. I have known massage parlour girls making 120,000bt a month. Way more than Dutch minimum wage. Yet they could not afford their 5000bt rent every month as it all went away on buying useless shit and partying and financing boyfriends. W
  21. Dont worry Coss. It was just to make sure that the young students would not throw themselves at your feet offering you all kinds of favours deemed a no no in the communist hail state.
