After fatal shooting of the employee of a drive-in restaurant in Texas, a 12-year-old boy has been arrested for murder.
Senator Ted Cruz shall now certainly soon confirm again that " “Heidi & I are fervently lifting up in prayer the children and families in the horrific shooting in xxxxxx. We are in close contact with local officials, but the precise details are still unfolding. Thank you to heroic law enforcement & first responders for acting so swiftly.”
Which is about what he said at the occasion of the the last 10 shootings. What an arsehole this guy is. He should stop accepting funds from the NRA but of course he does not.

Listening to the radio news driving on the Autobahn in my motorcar I was wondering this morning how soon the ruling groups would start digging til they find a piece somewehere in Thai parliamentary history that the government belongs to the Thai/Chinese plus another family of ancient origin. They wouldn´t just fuck off, would they?

Fully understood. so if it is Sunday in Germany it is Monday in NZ except on Wednesday which is Friday unless it is Saturday. Like the signpost on the door of the restaurant : Closed on Sunday except on Mondays.

Due to a combination of health issues, a phalanx of grandchildren on visiting manoeuvres, and also due, to having a bed companion again, after three weeks absence, I am awake and champing at the bit, at 4 am these days, such is my quiet life.
I do find the resident gentlefolk on this board, a welcome respite, over a pre-dawn coffee.
May the 7th I guess?

Khun Mekong whatever you write here enlightens my earthly existence since it is opposition that keeps things going forward. Or backwards. In the meantime,for the record, I arrived at the second half of aforementioned liquid and life starts even looking better.
On a personal note, I did never look into having children. Taking into consideration the Late Queen/King of board-related countries I do probably not miss anything. Cheers for today, are they just waking up in NZ ? I shall never understand this.

In no way whatsoever I wish to say that I am over 70 years old but nonetheless one of the fundamental events in early childhood has been the coronation of Qeen Elizabeth which has taken place on a celluloid (sp?) movie on a machine that had to be powered by hand turning a crank . Just for you to know.

No it is not. They moved into Soi 7/2 but like many other places of the United Nations official World Heritage Collection it is not what it used to be. I have not been there myself but looking for my seafood restaurant recently I have seen it deep inside the Soi. The retaurant which was previously in Soi 7 did also disappear.

Gentlemen.
So far I did never consider to spend my final days in the UK under the supervision of the NHS which is the National Health Service . Rumours have it that waiting for an operation might take a year or more and sick people might stay on the hospital floor due to lack of space . This is what I have read repeatedly.
I am a regular reader of the Stickman Weekly. The nightlife is of no interest to me but I like to get a certain feeling of what is happening at Sukhumvit. Last Sunday main issue has been a gentleman whose name is Dave the Rave, a guy I knew nothing about . Khun Dave describes himself as a born fighter having been with the Paras and been world champion in kickboxing or something, further survivor of numerous troublesome encounters in Siam plus several accidents. Plus a career of totally 22 years in the bar industry, highly praised by Khun Stick as a most reasonable person throughout. Read it if you want to know more.
Economically troubled by the Corona-problem Khun Dave finally decided to return to his motherland the United Kingdom. But not before somebody else kindly offered to pay for a oneway ticket on EVA, estimated cost probably in the region of 700 USD, guessing. Which sounds like Khun Dave appeared to be totally broke.
Back in the UK bad luck hit Khun Dave because due to a diabetes-related serious disease one leg had to be amputated. And now the interesting aspect is what follows:
Dave praises the NHS for providing him a " brand new house " plus an electric kind of wheelchair plus endless benefits for the rest of his life.
Very well. Khun David having spent at least the last 22 years abroad we do not know if he did ever contribute anything to the UK social system nor if he did pay any taxes there. I am therefore fairly surprised about the generosity of the British health system which makes me ask the community if this is normal.
What is your comment, expats?

Couple of months ago I did wrongly think that Trump would soon be history. Mistake. Some MAGA freak on CNN promised he would give his life for HIM. Well of course he wouldn´t but that is how it goes within a sect. My only hope is that many Americans finally find him so disgusting that they vote for anybody else.

Gentlemen, long ago I decided to strictly stay away from all IT/Internet and related bullshit. I realise there are big advantages and mainly my business is now web-based like ebay etc. I may add Youtube to my activities listening and watching Elvis for example. The only app I use is a speed-warning device that works on an Iphone which they sent me when I signed a mobile contract. I assure you that my life is generally beautiful.
Last time in BKK I was sitting in an open air restaurant somewhere Silom Road and watched a good-looking probably Scandinavian young couple having dinner and not looking on their smartphones one single time over probably 1,5 hours. These people did in fact talk to each other. I felt deeply touched and told the manager to charge me their bill , anonymously. The world is going down the drain anyway, I am glad I am rather old.

Gentlemen, I am still running my business and swear I have no idea how to load an "app". I don´t need apps for anything. I also operate a mobile phone but nobody knows the number to avoid disturbance. I only need google and thai360, that´s enough. I swear I am a happy person, how to improve that?

No real secrets, but other than the companies you mention, websites like Kayak Flights or Matrix-ITA by Google are a good source because they do not sell anything but just compare prices.
This is a constructive post and I am praying for Mekong´s approval.
