All incoming tourists have to pass repeated tests, so they find everybody. What would happen if they test all over Thailand at the same rate? No idea.

Many knowledgeable people discuss these problems right now and in the end it works. Some received their QR-code within hours or a day. I cannot comment any further because I do hardly know what a QR-code is. People like myself would be totally lost as things are at this moment. I am more familiar with the ability to drink beer in the evening which they seem to have allowed by now.

Mr Waerth, many moons ago you mentioned your source of income; I would imagine under current circumstances you would have to overcome numerous obstacles. How do you manage?

It is like talking to a Trump-follower, hopeless. The excuse some of them use now that they fear late effects from the Biontec-type of vaccines and prefer to wait for a newly developed vector vaccine. Which of course has no late effects although not even approved at this stage.

Gentlemen, believe it or not but I do not use a smartphone. My communication device is my wellbeloved Siemens petrol-driven S55 from maybe 15 years ago. Unit does not know anything about internet, taking photos is possible if you install sort of an adapter on top. Actually my third one, whenever broken I buy a used one for about 15 €. Biggest advantage is small size, it virtually disappears in your hand when in use. Good when driving.
Now there is the Thai immigration requesting a load of QR-codes, apps and such. No problem to get a smartphone but the question is this: Do I have to have internet connection once presenting all my QR codes at immigration or are they stored within the telephone?

Gentlemen, as we are only 7 days from possible desaster, the Thai Civil Aviation Authority takes over. How many miles shall extend the queue of waiting buses if all estimated 300 hotels send their own? What is a QR-code from a passport?? MorChana will do the job.
I hope the Thai airspace is still safe.

Some guy tried to tell me these days that at the current rate Thailand will have 70 % fully vaccinated by the end of November. Cannot find anything that supports this view.

If I wasn’t here I certainly would not visit.If it would be a fast test where you get the result in 15 minutes I wouldn´t bother.

They will have to issue a list of hotels you can book for the overnight quarantine. How many, 40 places bookable in advance from travellers from Austria to Zimbabwe? Plane arrives with 200 souls on board. They might have decided for 25 different places. During immigration and testing procedures another aeroplane comes in with 160 souls. Heading for 20 hotels, partially different from case 1. I guess what happens then in front of the arrival building will make my Canton Fair event look a decently organised procedure. Holy Lord.
Random testing on the roads: Guess they catch traveller BuBi in front of Beergarden and tell him to check into an approved hotel maybe Soi 300 Sukhumvit. How does BuBi get there, by hitchhike cause BuBi without funds? And what if BuBi explains in fluent Thai that he needs his heartpills from the Oriental otherwise sudden death to be expected in 50 minutes? Many thing big prompremm!

Sir, one of the greatest storms in human history happened in my presence on the opening day of the Canton Fair maybe 10 years ago, can´t remember. Imagine ten-thousands of the finest tradesmen of all countries worldwide including the Indian subcontinent and all of Africa and at least one from Germany. Suffered from a long trip and excited to find the deal of their life at this fair. But: the wise Chinese government had decided in the meantime that no man or woman was to enter the fairground without a photo on a label. Everybody had to fill another form and then wait for a place in front of the camera. Nothing did move for maybe 1,5 hours and that was when the crowd started marching forward. Iron gates were pushed away, the Chinese security people lost control and ran. If you imagine a million buffaloes on a stampede over the prairie you get an idea what I mean. It was simply and absolutely great. I would want the same happening again and there seems to be a possibility.

In case you think it is a third world problem, look at the Federal Republic of Germany. Most of the daily Covid reporting for example has been done by fax.

as per today His Excellency Phrayut announced cancellation of quarantine for incoming tourists of 10 countries as per December the first. Plus the possibility of drinking intoxicating liquids in restaurants AND reopening of entertainment venues. Holy Lord. Civilisation is coming back.

BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thailand will end coronavirus quarantine requirements for vaccinated visitors from low-risk countries starting Nov. 1, Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha said on Monday, as the Southeast Asian nation tries to revive its pandemic-hit economy.
Visitors from least 10 countries including Britain, Singapore, Germany, China and the United States will be exempted from quarantine on arrival, Prayuth said, according to a transcript of a recorded televised speech provided by his office.
More countries will later be added to the list, he said.

cost of a proper boom-boom being fundamental for the revitalisation of incoming tourism I did some research. Went on the Stickman-site where there still a sort of an escortservice can be found, name Smooci (?). Various subjects offer their services, lasting for example 2 hours and asking for an average 3.500 Bht. No cheap. No idea who are their customers at this moment but to my feeling no difference to pre-Covid time. Pricing seems to be stable as it looks.

Fully vaccinated tourist BuBi who still holds a ticket since May 2020 shall land in BKK once they forget about the quarantine. Won´t even stay 3 days incarcerated.

my soul is deeply hurt after having read your comment. Talking about my post like the majority of the Trump-followers you are obviously unable to read something and probably understand it. Congratulation that you managed to read the study, I am impressed. I would have thought it needs some uni background to absorb these confusing details but never mind.
I decided to read some of the comments instead. You meet some people questioning the content, others defend it. I was surprised to learn that the 2 Germans do not belong to an obscure sect promoting all sorts of internet-crap but both are respected scientists. We have to consider this which is why my comment was well balanced. Still the question remains why the treatment has not taken the world like a tornado but rather appears to have disappeared like a fart. For Cav to avoid another misunderstading: I do not claim the treatment causes farting, it is only symbolic.
In case these pills do work I am ready to share my sources with the esteemed gentlemen: the roof of the local tennis club is covered by zinc-plates. I am ready to cut off some slices if I can help. Transport excluded.

A man on another forum said today that last week about 14.000 subjects arrived at BKK airport, other than 70.000 / day in the past. Which would then mean 14.000 against 490.000. No idea how many just transiting of the latter, but numbers so far are rather low. On the other hand, who can jump on a plane after just a few days final notice. Time will tell how it goes.
