  1. The campaign aims to create awareness ........., as well as generate positive image of Thailand as a country.

The image of Thailand consists of plenty  nice beaches and lots of brothels. Occasionally some events make it into the papers like the fire in a disco the other day. Germany in particular is enormously blessed by the presence of His Majesty and even the Redbull heir-scandal is not known to many people I guess.

  2. As you found out yourself, vaccination does not stop you getting sick but you won´t be the star at the next funeral. It is becoming routine.

That is very rude from China Airlines, I changed dates twice with Etihad fraudulently claiming Covid-reasons. They even offered 300 USD premium if I left the money in their ´travel bank´ for next time. Which I did.

The campaign aims to create awareness and build confidence in important Thai government policies among foreigners in Thailand, as well as generate positive image of Thailand as a country.

Mr Coss, is a foreigner in Thailand a foreigner who is in Thailand or do you think there is more to it. Are they including visa-overstayers, incarcerated falangs and Nigerian drugdealers? Would a 3-days resident at Nana Hotel be relevant to create a positive image of Thailand as a country after having successfully barfined 7 ladyboys from Nanaplaza?

  4. Thank you for the update, the 3 Video-people are included in the most wanted list.

Neither do I enjoy womens rugby to forget about boxing. Although in the distant past I seem to have been watching womens striptease with some joy I believe.

  5. Gentlemen,

time to start another international crisis with potential of endless dispute to survive the next 50 years :

Having watched last night the Women European football - (soccer - ) final which as such has been a pleasure I like to make it absolutely clear that the Germans have - again - been cheated by a referee. Some morally rotten British woman stopped the ball with her arm from flying right into the goal and thus preventing the English team from loosing the game in the end . The Ukrainian referee refused to doublecheck the crime scene on the video. Referee and player shall be put on the list of most wanted criminals.

Apart from this I watched 3 games in total and finally come to the conclusion the the ladies play the more enjoyable football.

Ditto Laos, but honestly, Beer Lao over ice, becomes nectar, once you're used to the ice thing. And IMHO, wine is not something I enjoy in +35°C heat

Were you in air con, for the French Rosé? Or are you not in the Euro heat wave?

8°C in Auckland, depths of winter.

I was in the middle of a 40,2 C heatwave this week, unknown of so far. Sitting on the terrace I had to put ice in the glass, I like drinks cold. When I have first seen the Thai people throwing ice in their beer many moons ago I had the shock of a lifetime but now I do same same once it starts warming up. I also drink red wine only ice cold. The latter makes me sort of an outlaw but it is me who drinks it and if I mix it with mustard or ketchup: up to me again. Never had a problem with booze, limited but regular.

Mr. Mekong explained he moved to Siam to get away from something in the UK. I wouldn´t know what could improve my life taking that decision, probably if married to a local lass might make a big difference. Thought occasionally to live in Portugal but it is not always summer down there; in the end Germany seems the best place for me alltogether. At least as long as there is no 130 km/h general speed limit on the Autobahn 😎.

I could go on, but you get the message.

I do, yes. And would like to comment but just finished dinner and prefer not to issue any drivel under the influence of a bottle of French Rosé. Which makes me think of the price of imported wine in the kingdom. Holy Lord. But there is more to it. Let´s talk tomorrow. Got to finish John Grisham " The Pelican brief " , 45 pages left, can´t wait.

  8. Sir, of course I see your point and whenever I see a politician named for example Hassan Alsayed explaining the nation that everything goes wrong I  instinctively think what this guy has to tell us about `our ´country. Which is already different if the politician is called Mario Cevesi or Rade Vukmirovic. It makes you feel safer somehow.

" And you wonder why I moved to Thailand all those years ago. "  To find peace I guess with all the fine people in charge.

Back stabbers, the Pair of them, both Rishi Sunak and Sajid Javid, a couple of “minorities” given the positions to “fill quotas” and now they thing they can run the country.

Very well, but they need to be elected by somebody. The majority of the electing subjects being of white skin I guess. Man Sunak should use skin-whitening creme from 7/11 and change his name to Sunacker-Wellbedone.

Just joking, Mr Kong, just joking.

    Bubi,

Wind your neck in old man, where am I disagreeing with you?
I merely stated that I concurred with Coss and that you had a different opinion, at no time did I state that your opinion was incorrect, you are imagining things.

You appear to be suffering from Persecutory Delusions, I would seek professional help if I was you.

Sir, without professional help I would have been without teeth long ago, I principally support any professional help. I am looking with pride on your statement I am suffering from Persecutory Delusions, just watch the "s" at the end of delusion: The delusion is a multiple one. People of my age usually suffer from ordinary sickness like cancer or high blood pressure , very few appear to be blessed by Persecutory Delusion. Somebody asking me Bubi how are you today shall be told " Recovering from Covid but everything else is Persecutory delusioned ".  They will envy me, these people.

That is what I thought, but I was told I was wrong by the boards resident expert on everything Link

    The boat :

Police Told to Bring Additional Charges Against Tangmo's Boatmates - Bangkok Herald

This is no open air longtailboat-engine at which you could easily burn your ass but an outboard engine. There is no physical possibility to become burned on an outboard unit because it does not produce enough heat on all accessible parts. You may sit for hours on the ( plastic ! ) engine cover and still find your balls in working condition. Or your pussy for that matter. Mekong, if there is anything you do not understand please ask. " The text In the link stated an outboard would be under the boat " The text states that the propeller is under the boat, the outboard working under the boat would make it difficult to maintain any internal combustion due to water being low on the octane rating.

Now they say they found 22 cuts on their legs, very well. Sounds like they came from a propeller and which explains what? As you can see the boat is a bowrider type, somebody falling into the water from there could well get under the boat hitting the prop later on.  Or did they drive over the actress searching the river for her or did anybody else?

Looking forward to another fierce bullshitdrama Bubi versus Mekong.

I got a can, I am considering recycling it, no I'm not, yes I am, hang on, could I ? Can I?

Am I flogging a dead horse?

    Or is he just resting?

Sir, a can can generally be recycled although conditions apply :

" You stated, “Can Be Recycled” the word “Can” refers to “The Majority” not all but the majority, whereas in fact it is the minority which are being recycled therefore the statement is “Could be Recycled”  "

Does your can belong to the minority or majority of cans? To find out , turn it upside down and look for the mark "M" which tells you a lot.

  13. My endless efforts to make Mr Mekong aware of late news within the energy sector make me publish this piece which I found on Youtube somewhere and sums it all up :

From a seasoned wind turbine technician of 15 year's as myself, this piece is old news. This was a glaring issue 5 year's ago, in the video Siemens and Vestas are just 2 companies trying to formulate a new resin. In actuality the wind community has tackled this problem with recycling plants in Texas, Iowa, and Washington. Not to mention abroad, GE Spain is one of the largest recycling plants in the world. To novices this seems like a huge black eye but to the wind energy professionals this has been solved.
  14. Mr Mekong, as we could note before at other issues , your efforts to get out of wrong statements requires our admiration, even if unsuccessful.

Recycling of Turbine Blades only takes place in a finite number of cases, not in every instance as you would wish us believe.

Where, dear Sir,  did I say that they are being recycled in every instance? Please answer the question before we continue.

May I further remind you that after your initial statement they are not recyclable you moved to " not easily recyclable " which I would happily support.

  15. Mr Mekong, I was sure you would find a way to get out of the dead end road but never mind, it is of no importance. You might have noted the photo that shows part of the recycling process. The turbine blades are being recycled as is concrete, we did talk about this before. You may praise the advantages of burning oil, coal or whatever but the ways out of that are unstoppable.

Old Wind Turbine Blades wear out and cannot be recycled, so are being buried after useful life

Sont fool yourself with “ Clean Energy” mantra.

Nonsense, as I have already tried to explain you some time ago, since about 2017 GRP can be completely recycled:

In einem mehrstufigen Verfahren zerteilt und mischt die Anlage GFK und Papierspuckstoffe zum Rohstoff für die Zementproduktion

  17. A useful idea is what Air New Zealand is going to put into some of their ultra long distance aircrafts , economy class. 6 of them each plane and cost extra of course. Same units could be found on Philippine Airlines 747 First Class 25/30 years ago when you had a seat downstairs and an extra bed upstairs. Close the curtain and prepare for a high altitude boomboom.

    Hello!

Have not been involved in the P4P since I met my wife 15 years ago but it still give a tickle when I think about it. Was surprised that I still was able to log in with my old username and password after all this time. So what did covid do to the sene? is it going back to normal? Unfortunately my wife will not leave me by my self for more than 10 minutes when in Thailand so I guess I will only have it as a tickle in my mind.
