I do fully agree to your positive statement concerning aforementioned bar area . The sad truth is that I did never know about it til on my first visit ever to Soi 22 in may 2015 ; I have been very surprised about the size of this particular area and could not decide for any bar until I was politely invited into an establishment by 2 women who physically pushed me inside . I did not know what to do there so they asked me to join them playing snooker which unfortunately I have never done in my life before . The project has consequently soon been abandoned in favour of playing dart which is also an unknown area to me , although even when I only did just about hit the wall around the dart-thing the ladies confirmed that I showed enormous talent which I should try to develop further . We had a couple of drinks and they proposed to leave for the next short time hotel , the three of us Holy Lord. I refused and left .

Summary : Soi 22 in general including QPP shows other than Nanplaza or Soi Cowboy an enjoyable mixture of boom-boom related enterprises and fairly upscale places . I did actually take dinner in a partially open-air place offering a very educated selection of wine and decent food . one of my highly recommended sidewalk restaurants is outside the Surawong end of Patpong II . They are not allowed to sell booze but if you ask for a Singha you do immediately get one . Shall I try a list of things that are not allowed in the kingdom but nobody cares ; this rule affects so many business interests that it will evaporate in no time .

Is there any evidence that bars inside a 300 m radius of a school make the children have a beer Singha during the 10:00 break ? And would they refrain from a beer Singha after school because 300 m is too far ?

According to my as usual more than accurate observation I would rather stop people selling food inside 5000 m from any school .

No idea about rules in Thai waters , anybody in Europe swimming through the open seas does this on his own risk . For swimming or diving in immediate coastal waters different rules apply , buoys have to be shown by the divers etc . Without knowing further details I would be interested to know why this could have been a " crime " .
