Now if I had posted it as a hyperlink that said " Operation Dumbo Drop 2 Trailer" thats different.

While that also sounds gay, one might be tempted to click, purely for research purposes of course. But again, my choice to click or not. Now had you posted a picture of an Elephant and a Katie’s, that would be different, as I’d have had no choice but to see it, disgusting as it might be…

I'm not gonna play slap with you.

Post some Thai content and move on.

Nothing wrong with playing slap, especially if costumes and safe words are used and there is a complete absence of homosexuality…as for Thai content, most of the movies mentioned here are not Thai related…though, regarding “Napoleon,” I did once read that Josephine had worked in a wine bar…

I really don't see an issue with a link. Anyone who sees it has the choice of whether they click on it especially when the link has a description.

Different story if you use a hyperlink.

I tend to agree, it is just a link, nothing nude or violation of board policy.  I watched the movie, for its historical value and see nothing wrong with it, stunning costumes and brilliant directing! The music was also good. To me, there is a difference between a picture that just pops out and smacks you when you scroll down the thread and a link that I can choose to click on or not click on. The first one is more less “forced on the reader” vs. the link which is entirely up to me to click on or not click on. I think Coss may have over reacted here a bit. Big difference between a picture and a link.

White House Plumbers [2023 TV Limited Series]

A five-part series that tells the true story of how Nixon's own political saboteurs and Watergate masterminds, E. Howard Hunt and G. Gordon Liddy, accidentally toppled the presidency they were trying to protect. Amusing historical take varies from the absurd to the ridiculous with two good leads hamming it up, hard to tell the jokes from the realty. Worth a look, starts off slow but picks up.

Saw this series, very good. In truth, the whole Watergate mess was almost a “comedy of errors” that did indeed bring Nixon down. I remember the right wingers trying to dismiss it all as “…a 2 bit burglary that means nothing…” The left screaming for blood…many feel had the left gotten their way and had Nixon been held liable, then we might have gotten a better government over all down the road…I don’t think it really mattered in the end.

After 3,5 weeks holiday in Portugal at the beach am I now a  people of colour ?

My birth father was from South Africa, so am I an African American?  But I digress, They , Them Pronouns do not go far enough, As there are people who are "Gender neutral" and "non-binary." Apparently, it is considered rude to refer to these people as 1)"those people" 2)"they/them" apparently, we are only supposed to use names, which can get really weird when it comes to addressing strangers. In case I never mentioned it over the years, I have a bit of an issue with "these people," and gays etc...they seem to just push their nonsense too far, women's sports and beauty contests being  cases in point.

Yes one hopes they get their act together, they no longer fly to NZ, but they did,  and were the reliably cheap way to get to Laos, LOS and of course Nana.

Before then, as the saying goes, "men were made of steel, ships of wood and the sheep were scared".

Thai Airways has been barred from flying to a number of places due to their maintenance style, or lack there of. Pisses me off as their A380 was a guaranteed ticket when Pass riding...

Because he had a sense of humour?

Not yet born, but I imagine that, as a whole, a measureless number of people, looking for a home, is a problem that most would not relish, dealing with.

I've never been anti-semitic, quite the opposite, the rather fetching Shona, of my youth, had a family that would not allow me, near her, on account of me being a gentile. So I became miffed, but not anti.

I have always felt, that the Israelis have usually over-played the card in their hand, that is the, "see look at how many of us the Nazi's killed".

Kong's suggestion, New Mexico USA, gets my vote, a quick televised second-coming from the King of the Sky Fairies, would establish the religious bona fides of say, Roswell:

Roswell is in Chaves County and has a population of 48,186. There are many positive features. The public schools are ranked as above average, there are plenty of job opportunities, the community is diverse, and there are plenty of leisure activities for people to enjoy in the area.

The new settlers could carve off a small slice, for the extant population to live in, and we're back to normal.

It also has the advantage of U.S. military bases, not too distant, for support.

Truman was a serious Anti-Semite, despite have a Jewish advisor. Parts of the USA are more antisemitism than Nazi Germany…. The question remains, why do Palestinians have more rights in Israel than they do in many/maybe most Arab countries..? The whole thing is very widely misrepresented by all sides of the issue, the truth be damned…

The new Speaker did already show great historic knowledge in his previous life by finding out that the Roman Empire collapsed due to widespread homosexuality.

While his hero Donald during a speech in Idaho(?) last Monday confirmed Victor Orban is the president of Turkey. Looking at the audience of fine people I don´t think any of them knows who Orban is and probably think Hungary might be part of Turkey or vice versa.

Senator Marjorie Taylor Greene still seems to believe there is something like Qanon under the surface of the earth. Which is up to her but she won by 76   % in Georgia.

A big share of the population of the USA seems to be completely sick.

    Which I regret.

There was a tv show here where the host went out into the street and told trump supporters all these great things that Trump had planned and the people praised him and said what a great leader he was…except 1 thing, Trump never said any of them, just the opposite, Obama said them or did them, Bernie sanders said them, AOC, Clinton(s) etc… Sadly, some Americans are simply seriously, that gullible. There are people who will tell you the earth is flat, the earth is only 5000 years old, the Bible trumps science (pun sort of intended) etc… embarrassing really.

Know loads of people like this. Seemed to meet most of them around COVID with their galaxy brains and comments on closing Nana Plaza being devastating for the Thai economy.

Do these people ever even glance up at the skyscrapers clearly visible from lower Sukhumvit and wonder what exactly it is that goes on in there?

spoke to one bloke recently who wondered aloud if Thai Airways was struggling financially because Orchard Towers in Singapore closed down and that’s how they made their money

Thai airways is struggling largely due to mismanagement. They are hopefully getting their act together. As for the “economists” who speculate about the Thai economy based on what they see in Nana, my advice is don’t take any investing tips from them…

  11. It has been reopened for awhile now. New location. I think Dang, Daughter of the original owner is running it. Not quite the same, but what is when it moves. I still remember the old place, the original “ cross readers” and “Hobos” and “Famous Drunks” of old Bangkok, Jack, Tony all of them, great crowd. Sadly almost all are gone now. For the 1-2 that are left, the new location is a bit too far to go. Still worth a visit and if you’re lucky you might see a “famous face.” Felling nostalgic today, gotta big out the old photos….

    You're so easy :)

and the joke if there is one,

is that a proper Monger will always return to the pursuit. :)

A “monger’s” life is chosen for him, be it fate, circumstance what ever, he has no control over it. Last trip on a rare night out alone, I saw a girl on Cowboy I had be utilizing for over 20 years…nostalgia or known value for Bhat..? I also had dinner with the (in?)famous Si Saket Girl from years back…still good friends despite it all… What is that old saying? “…I’d love to be 25 again and know what I know now…” Rings true I suppose.  When I look back on it all, I am reminded of the line from a famous song by my favorite band “…lately it occurs to me, what a long strange trip it’s been….” Would I change it? No. Would I do things differently..? Maybe here or there, but the life that chose me has been fun, met many good people and had many great times. I can’t imagine the alternative, work in a cubicle, 9-5 day in day out, kids wife etc…everything scripted and never a variance…casting negative dispersions on those like our current selves, while secretly envying them. I got a fortune cookie years back, saved the fortune, it said “…depart not from the path which fate has assigned you…”
