  1. As a New Member I wish to draw your attention to the board rules

    Privacy

Posting information which could lead to the identification of individuals is forbidden.

This rule extends to girls in the scene as well. So, no names, numbers, or identifying marks of the girls are to be disclosed here. Associating a particular girl with a particular bar is also restricted. There are a number of reasons for this, and this rule will be very strictly enforced, so do remember this when composing your posts.

With this in mind, please don't ask for, or give, recommendations about bargirls or massage parlour girls.

Mr Mekong, maybe you find the time to improve your Latin once you are heading for Songkran and might not go out anyway.

it means : Any action is the same as the reaction. " par est "  means it is the same. I was very good in Latin at school , it actually saved my bacclaureat against all probability.

As we seem to be heading for another bullshit-chess you are invited to respond.

Actually my Latin is Melius Quam Mediocris, and I fully understand  what Actio par est reactioni means but that is not what Sir Isaac Newton said. If you want to say it in Latin it would read Omnis actio,  aequalis et contrarian est reactio

Einstein didn’t say E= MC Hammer did he, MLK didn’t say I have a Fantasy and Rene Descsartes did t say ai think therefore I maybe.

If yo are going to attribute a quote to someone at least get it right, if one applied “Action Equals Reaction” to basic Engineering principle the results would be unknown.

But knowing for Equilibrium that there have to be equal and opposite forces, and in order to let’s say launch a 1 Tonne Rocket a force of greater than 1,000 kg thrust is required.

    Every action has a reaction

" Actio par est reactioni "   Sir Isaac Newton, today confirmed by Sir Bubi.

Actually Newtons Third Law of Motion is Every action has an equal and opposite reaction, not just a reaction as you misquoted

  5. And as I said Chukiat Opaswong is talking out of his fucking arse

The $600-700 per tonne isn’t realistic pre tariff is is $597 per tonne so after tariff it will be $877 per tonne

Take a Produce call it product (a)

    Vietnam sells for $1000

    Thailand sells for $2000

    After tariff

    Vietnam $1470

    Thailand $2740

The price delta has fallen from 2:1 to 1.86:1, whilst still more expensive it is more competitive than previous.

What Khun Opaswong is referring to is the situation whereby Vietnam negotiate a tariff of Zero percent with USA, he is basically complaining about something which hasn’t happened

  6. Correct it was cheaper both pre and post tariff but using the  figures taken from the internet    Comparison

    Pre Tariff

    Thai Rice $425 per tonne

    Viet Rice $397 per tonne

    Difference $28

    Post Tariff

    Thai Rice 37% tariff $425 x 1.37 = $582.25 per tonne

    Viet Rice 47% tariff  $397 x 1.47 =  $583.59 per tonne

    Difference $1.34

So before the tariff Thai rice was 7% more expensive (where did you get 50% from)and post tariff less than 0.25% more expensive. So Thai rice has become MORE competitive not LESS and I don’t understand what Chukiat Opaswong is complaining about

That's a 9% tariff difference but if Vietnamese rice is around 50% cheaper :dunno:

So Vietnamese rice is cheaper pre tariff than post tariff, Thailand will be better off not worse off

AFAIK  Price of Vietnamese rice has not been decreased because of tariffs

  8. Well Chukiat Opaswong is talking out of his fucking arse since Vietnam (46%) has been hit with a higher tariff than Thailand (37%) so Thai rice exports will be cheaper than Vietnam not more expensive. You need to look at both parts of the equation before trying to con another Shinawatra into a rice buying scam.

Poor little Paetongtarm still believing tariffs applied are based on countries tariffs and not trade deficit, if only she had read my idiots guide to the idiots tariffs posted yesterday she would understand a little better, you would expect the PM of a country to have some understanding on a topic before commenting on such

  9. Whilst no economist myself, it is pretty clear where Trump has fucked up his calculations, he is basing Tariffs on trade deficit., the n dividing deficit by US Exports and splitting the difference
it is Trade deficit / imports is what the US says the other country charges as a tariff.

    eg China

US exports $145b and imports $440b , so deficit is $295b

295 / 440 =0.67 or 67% split the difference by halving it 33.5 and rounding up 34 and the tariff imposed on China is 34%

Likewise EU, $370.2B Exports Imports $605.8b, deficit $235.6b  235.6 / 605.8 =0.389 or 39% divided by two and rounded up gives 20% which is the tariff imposed on EU.

I used to think that Trump wasn’t the sharpest knife in the drawer, but hit proves that he is a complete imbecile

You probably need to read beyond my comment to comprehend the point being made.

Why don’t you just say what the fuck you mean instead of being cryptic, or is that your way of saying that to don’t have a clue what you are on about

but he confirmed he " could not care less "

This can’t be true, this would  mean an American saying the phrase correctly.

What Americans say is “I could care less” implying that there is less to care than they actually are even thought this is not what they mean.
