  1. Villa could be a dark horse this season, I was happy to see Lambert keep them up last season, holding onto Benteke without a release clause was a master stroke and many people forget that Villa are the reigning youth champions of Europe.

I can't see them being top four just yet but they will shock quite a few teams as proven at the Emirates this weekend, but I could see them winning a cup, most teams will be concentrating on their european aspirations where as Villa can concentrate on the cups.

As for my homies yet another unconvincing 1-4 result at the Liberty, we were played off the park for large periods of the game but RvP and now Danny Wellbeck are just lethal in front of goal, ask me in 4 weeks time after the Chelsea, City and Liverpool games about my feelings on their chances.

I would like to see Adnan Janzuaj, Jesse Lingard and Wilfred Zaha given a chance, and my dream would be Rooney to Real Madrid with CR7 coming home, hey even I can't get dope that good haha.

  2. Correct, apple or android, note it disables the HDMI output so you can't stream it to your TV set or other devices.

Unless you have a Jailbroken Apple TV 3, it's only a little bit of Unix code ;) , it took me 4 hours and 3 beers to crack mine, I could have done it in 30 minutes but the beer slowed me down.

it is literally one line of code changing a "0" to a "1" its just knowing where to find it. Panthip.Com has been a buzz today with hacks on how to bypass the CTH lock, now my written Thai is rather limited but technical threads are mainly in Engiish making it easier for me.

The internet has been buzzing since midday about AIS taking on CTH , as huumlaar is well aware. Fortunately I have a little time on my hands at the moment and I do like coding computers, fark I had my first Commadore 64 35 years ago, so I like a challenge. The wife was "No Way to make it work" and I was "Watch me Baby", I managed to succeed without even throwing any of my devices across the room which is my usual modus operandum.

My next trick is to find a way to get CTH via AIS without the 199 Baht / Month fee, I think I know the code so will give it a go tomorrow, it's not the money but the challenge, it's a little game to me and I like to win.

  3. Numerous VPN's are helpful, I use my UK one for Corrie and Emerdale (Sad fart I know) but I need Swedish one for English Football live at 3PM UK TIME.

I majored in computer science based on C++ and Unix so for me OSX and IOS is just like knowing my times tables. I will never say that Apple is the best OS but since I have been using UNIX for over 30 years now I sort of know my way around it!

  4. RM

You can use any IOS 6 device as your router an iPhone 4 is less than 6,000 at MBK now and when jailbreaked you have in excess of 40 VPN's

You don't actually use your computer for streaming, it is free for other things such as viewing porn or being a prick on this forum I can watch BBC Iplayer and post on here at same time. I realise that many people dislike me for being an Apple Freak but it works for me.

  5. I won't go Into detail here but here is a write up http://www.allofvpn.com/vpn-on-apple-tv/

Every apple device supports VPN's and I do use my Time Capsule. Jail broken. Apple TV gives me 48 VPN's for less than 250 Baht / Month and even with my Internet cost it works out cheaper than unTrue vision with 100 times more channels.

I admit that I am a geek and also a cheap Charlie at that, Mr Khi Neow is my given Thai name and I am proud of the fact hehe.

  6. RM

You can use any IOS or OSX device with Apple TV, i am using an old iPhone 4S and still getting 1080P resolution.

I am now a sad old cunt watching Corrie and Emerdale on ITV player, Never mind the Buzzcocks and Mock of the week on BBC Iplayer, my old man does not use his SKY mobile so I have his ID and Password for all of those channels.

Apple TV just hooks up via HDMI and set up via Wireless OK I have my 3TB Apple Time machine hooked up for tunes and movies but thats just me.

Get an Apple TV, Jailbreak it and watch all your favourite shows.

  7. RM

Every Apple Device I own has been Jailbroken, they make some good shit when you can play with them :)

I use APV (hacked) with multiple VPN's and stream direct at 1080P to TV, I can also use my laptop as a PC at the same time as streaming VDO.

OK I am a self confessed apple geek but this little box works for me especially when jailbroken. Best 3,800 Baht I have sent on hardware in my life.

  8. Hold, are you guys saying that EPL is no longer on True Vision? That's new to me!

Correct Cable Thai Holdings (CTH) outbid True Vision for the next 3 seasons. It is partly due to EPL teams being able to negotiate their own TV fees like Barcelona and Real Madrid in Spain and it has driven the cost through the roof.

Huumlaar the board resident expert on IPTV (Fact I know the guy in real life) has made a suggestion of alternatives whereas I have my own alternatives. I can see subscriptions of True Vision dropping substantially over the next few weeks, I cancelled mine on Saturday.

    Good Luck

    Kong

  9. I will use IPTV via VPN from Europe, From UK I have access to BBC IPlayer, ITV, 4 on Demand 5 Live and since my old man does not use SKY Mobile I have his ID and Password, not bad for 250 Baht / Month. I have to use Swedish VPN for the Football which is another 250 Baht, I pay for my internet anyway so no further cost.

The Apple TV is a nifty piece of hardware, I can stream 1080P via HDMI to my TV and also use my laptop as a computer at the same time, so I can basically watch footy on big screen and SKYPE my old man at the same time, not the same as being at a match as we used to 30 odd years ago but the next best thing.

Thanks for the heads up on cable companies in BKK, I know it's your field of expertise so I will also follow up this option.

    Cheers

    Kong

  10. Well True Vision have fucked up big style and have lost out to CTH.

CTH did offer me a dish and desktop set but the signal comes from Vietnam meaning dish alignment of 122 Degrees SE in Bangkok, my balcony only goes to 100 degrees :(

I have gone for Apple TV and VPN, I have an IP Address in Sweden and UK, less than 600 Baht / Month Apple TV box was 3,800 Baht so it works out a lot less than True Vision.

Rumours are abound that AIS will allow streaming for 300 Baht / Month, only heard about this on Thai websites so far but it seems the real deal.

I love my Football and come hell or high water I will get it at home, I cannot be arsed with going to a bar at 10PM on a Saturday night to catch a game I much prefer the comfort of my own home.

The downside of UK VPN is the wife is now addicted to Coronation Street and Emmerdale Farm, DOH!

  11. I always get people from back home asking me what 'my' Thailand them song is - usually "one night in Bangkok" or some cheesy lady gag-gag song is their guess. *sigh*

White stripes hit it for me for a different reason, 24/4/13 (4/24/13 for Dyslexics) when Bayern stuffed Barca in Champions League Semi final 4-0 they played this tune after ever goal. After the first hearing I was sort of, "I Know this" the second "I have this where is it in my collection" the third "No they are not playing this" and the fourth "La La La Lah La"

I flew to Munich 10 days later just to see a game and stand amongst the crowd when they gave a rendition of Seven Nation Army, Priceless.
