It also showed the percentage of babies born to unmarried couples rose steadily from the 1970s until 2008.

In 2010 it was slightly more than 50% for Scotland as a whole, the same level as in the previous two years.

Confirms my understanding then that the majority of Jocks are Bastards! :evilpumpkin:

  2. Jon Lord, the former keyboard player with heavy rock band Deep Purple, has died aged 71.

Lord co-founded Deep Purple in 1968 and co-wrote many of the group's songs including Smoke On The Water. He also played with bands including Whitesnake.

He had been receiving treatment for pancreatic cancer since last August.

He died at the London Clinic on Monday, surrounded by family, a statement said. "Jon passes from Darkness to Light," it added.

Lord was influenced by classical, blues and jazz but played his Hammond organ with a rock attitude and helped Deep Purple become pioneers of progressive and heavy rock.

Tributes have been paid by musicians including one-time Deep Purple bandmate Joe Satriani, Iron Maiden and Anthrax.

Ex-Rage Against the Machine star Tom Morello wrote on Twitter: "RIP the great Jon Lord, Deep Purple's cornerstone/keyboardist. So many great great songs and that incredible SOUND of his! Thankyou."

Former Yes keyboard player Rick Wakeman was a friend and said he was "a great fan".

"We were going to write and record an album before he become ill," he said. "His contribution to music and to classic rock was immeasurable and I will miss him terribly."

Born in Leicester, Lord learned classical piano at an early age before being seduced by watching early rock 'n' roll star Jerry Lee Lewis and jazz organist Jimmy Smith.

He could have chosen a career as an actor after receiving a drama school scholarship, but started playing in pub bands including short-lived outfits with future Rolling Stones star Ronnie Wood and his brother Art.

He also worked as a session musician and is thought to have played piano on The Kinks' hit You Really Got Me.

After meeting guitarist Ritchie Blackmore through another project, the first incarnation of Deep Purple was born.

Lord's classical influence surfaced when Lord composed Concerto for Group and Orchestra, which the band performed with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at the Royal Albert Hall in 1969.

But the group refined their heavy rock sound and found mass success at the start of the 1970s with albums including Deep Purple in Rock and Machine Head.

In their classic years, the band also included Blackmore, singer Ian Gillan, drummer Ian Paice and bassist Roger Glover.

Lord continued to compose classical works alongside the group's output and, when they split in 1976, he joined other groups Whitesnake and Paice, Ashton and Lord.

Deep Purple reformed in 1984 and resumed at the height of their commercial prowess, playing to tens of thousands of fans around the world.

They sold a total of 150 million albums and Lord remained an ever-present amid numerous line-up changes until he left in 2002.

Still composing, he had signed to a classical music label and performed a concert to mark the 30th anniversary of Concerto for Group and Orchestra.

"Thirty years later the piece came back and changed my life again... It gave me the courage to step outside and carve a career for myself outside the band," he told an interviewer.

He broke the news of his cancer diagnosis on his website last year, telling fans he would continue to write music as part of his therapy.

  3. A mother in law said to her son's wife when the baby was born

"I don't mean to be rude, but he doesn't look anything like my son."

The daughter in law lifted her skirt and said,

"I don't mean to be rude either, but this is a fanny, not a f*cking photo copier

  4. More fun and games today, allegedly another "Mediation" session, she upped the money some more but still nowhere near my figure yet so three more criminal cases against her next week also implicating her brother and her best friend. She looked scared today, honestly "Shit Scared" I could smell the fear (no she didn't shit herself).

She came out with a classic statement "I do not want a divorce really", I burst out laughing

    Like for a start

    1. She decided to throw me out of house when I was working overseas
    2. She shipped all my belongings back to my Mothers house in UK without my permission
    3. She used her family connections to try to get me PNG in Thailand

Now she wants me back, 55555 FUCK YOU BITCH, No way am I going back to that, pay up or face jail!

I have wasted enough time on this now, my case is based on evidence and her's is based on hearsay and the occasional email, I am in the process of having my "Official Translator" installed as my Power of Attorney to close this crap out whilst I go back to work 16 months is enough for me.

Next case is 17/7 Civil Infrindgment Damages, lets see what lies she tells in that case.

  5. good luck today ! :)

    Cheers BB

Today she did not show yet again but her lawyer offered me triple than was offered in initial arbitration I told him to shove it, triple it again and we may be on the same page.

Hearing adjourned and reconvene on Friday for more negotiations, my negotiation is cough up or get sent down with the rest of your corrupt family. Currently my Lawyer and Translator are sat outside a restaurant we are dining at in deep conversation with the head of Land Vehicle Registerary Office, one of my witnesses. ... Silly little girl does not realize who I am calling as witness and her Lawyer doesn't give two shits.

  6. Wow, I havent read up in here lately.

But, like Buddha, I think this is one of the most interesting threads I have read in here for a very long time.

Many farangs would have just cut their losses, instead of trying to fight a thai juridical system. As it is in most cases uphill, especially as a farang going to court facing a HiSo thai family.

But with that kind of money involved, I definitely understand and respect your persistence.

Hands up for you and best of luck.

    Pescator,

    Thanks for wishing me luck.

I have actually found the Thai Judicial system rather fair so far, every time I have made a court order asking for things it has been granted now this may be down to the fact that I am basically doing my own case and have a Thai lawyer as required, it has been I who has taken the court order to the relevant judges and made the request.

In my home country ( UK) I very much doubt I could go to the Old Bailey, sit with a Judge and ask him to sign a request for "Land Vehicle Office" (DVLC in UK) and ask for records of all vehicles she has had in her name since 2547 based on name and ID card number, I also very much doubt that I could get a request for Bank details ie Thanachart Bank every account in her name based on Name and ID card details, over here if you explain why and you give a good reason the request is signed.

Biggest problem is Thai Lawyers, they do as little as possible to bring the case to court but not much more, you really need to be ones own investigative lawyer to ensure all the I's are dotted and the T's are crossed, that is where many cases fall down here "Lack of Evidence" so if I do lose I only have myself to blame.

She is already out on bail from Dusit District Criminal Court for missappropriation, I have another case against her and her Brother for missappropriation / handling stolen goods, well actually multiple cases hence the reason it is at Ratchada Criminal Court it carries 5-10 years , district court only handles cases up to 2 years jail time, I already have some of her bank accounts frozen I will move to ask for the rest to be frozen later today, plus her CIMB Securites Account, BOT Funds, SCB Funds etc etc, you don't think I would send the bitch down without having her money frozen first.

    Game on!

  7. This is perhaps one of the most interesting threads I have ever read here...please continue to post, have continued good luck, and I agree about your decision to spare the dogs.

Thanks buddha for your feedback and support, not just about my ongoing case but also confirming that my decision to leave the dogs out of it was the correct one, it was a difficult decision to make but I feel it was the correct one. The more that people agree with my decision the easier it makes it for me.

  8. please do continue, but spell your name right :)

and what happened to your 2 dogs ?

    BB

I sometimes fark up on my letter spacing when sat on my balcony smoking a fat one and posting from a tablet (computer not Ya E)

I spent the first 5 months of the time we had the dogs with them 24/7, I was between projects at the time, but I have not seen them for nearly 2 years now, and they are now used to a settled lifestyle. As much as I want fair compensation from my soon be be ex hopefully, I would never bring the dogs into it. They did nothing wrong and it would be wrong of me to disrupt their life's now as part of an argument between their co-owners, even I would not use that as leverage (I have enough against her without needing to resort to so low)

Do I miss my dogs? Yes

Do I love my dogs? Yes

Buti also recognize the fact that they are better off in scenario they have adapted to rather than take them away from such, that is how much I care for my dogs, I put their well being above my own vindictive aspirations

Cars, houses, investments have all been listed in my indictment, I never even mentioned the dogs, as I said they are innocent!

    Kong ( correct spelling)

I learned many years ago to separate emotions from factual or one would lose the argument, the same as losing ones temper in negotiations will lose you your advantage.

I never actually considered taking up law until a project manager I was working with at the time suggested it, he had his first degree in computer science back in the 60's and got into law in the 80's and he told me "M" law and computing are so similar, If/ Then, What / If etc are the basics, referral to previous cases in law is like a subroutine in computing, i wasn't driven as such but just took the old mans advice on how to further my career as I said one can either go sand crazy in Saudi or do something useful.

As for your comment about a fool defends himself, I am not the defendant i am the plaintiff, no way would I ever defend myself even I am not that egotistical but being the plaintiff I know my case better than I could ever explain to my legal representation and as such am fighting it myself with support from a Thai lawyer.

Thanks for your "good luck" comment, I know I will need it, but as I said the criminal court have already accepted my cases against her 3 hours into the hearing, I think the judge had seen enough and was hungry. Her defense lawyer tried to hit me with a bombshell and I replied with evidence I had previously withheld that had him running around the courtroom like a headless chicken until he stated "No Further Questions" the judge decided there and then she had a case to answer.

My soon to be ex's problem is overconfidence, as Sun Tzu taught anyone in "The Art of War" (read my tag line) NEVER UNERESTIMATE ONES ENEMY, she thought that because I allowed her to take care of all financial dealings and later destroyed my records that I would have no case against her, she thought I was incapable of finding the evidence, stupid mistake on her behalf but working to my advantage. She thought she was the perfect woman who could rip me off and could never meet another Thai female as good as her, oops I met one better.

I have admitted on this forum that I am an alcoholic, even though I have been through detox and have not touched a drink in 10 months now I tell myself everyday I am an alcoholic who cannot allow myself to slip back into remission, she never believed I could do it, but now she is on the back foot.

Her defense lawyer has already offered via my lawyer. 60% of what i am asking for, no way did we accept, they are running scared now and don't even know 25% of the evidence I have against her. My evidence has all been obtained via court orders and as such is admissible evidence, even if I was to accept 2 out of 3 criminal cases I have against her are incompoundable which means even if I was to drop the charges the state prosecutor could still continue, in fact the state has already asked me to allow them to take on the criminal case, I was like "No Thanks" I want to send the bitch down.

I have found where she has hidden the money at last so I will be recompensated if I win the case.

The battle has started but the war is not over, in fact it has only just begun so not only am I not counting my chickens before the eggs have hatched in fact the eggs have not been laid yet.

If people are interested I will continue to post updates, if all I get is sarcastic snide comments from certain BM's I will keep it to myself.

  10. From what I've read, having an LLB degree cuts one year off of the 3 year JD degree programs in the U.S. Plus, its been 30 years since you took those courses toward an LLB degree. You must be an extremely quick study to overcome those odds.

allistar I would not know about the US system being a Brit myself, I didn't start my LLB until my mid 30's less than 15 years ago via Open University, which is a well respected UK based "Distance Learning" establishment, just did the course work and research from home then to the UK for the exams. I was in Saudi at the time and one can either go sand crazy or do something useful, I chose the later.

I have never professed to be a lawyer, I have always stated that I am an engineer who happens to have a law degree which means I can be also utilized as a contracts administrator, there is a lot of litigation on the projects I work on, I have never taken the bar exam and never intend to so as such I am not allowed to practice law in the UK. In Thailand I am not allowed to represent myself in a criminal case but under family and civil cases the courts have accepted my credentials and I am allowed to represent myself.

Previously I have only been involved in contractual negotiations, this will be a first for me cross examing the defendant (my soon to be ex I hope) in a court of law, hell yes I am shitting myself but I also like to take on a new challenge.

I hope this clears up a few facts.

    Cheers

  11. OK another update, of course now the proceedings are underway I will have more to update.

Whilst sat in the back of a taxi last friday I was continuing to study "Thai Civil and Commercial Code" on my iPad, yes I do use it for more than reading emails surfing for porn or posting crap on here, and came across an article which stated "Plaintiff can submit a written testimony to the court on the day of the hearing and it the court accepts such only face cross examination from defendants lawyer" I was like "wow fuck man" I can do that. So since Friday night I have been working on my written testimony.

The testimony itself is easy, it is ensuring that references to all court documents, evidence list and witnesses list are correct, I would look a fool if I stated in Sect 2.1 para 3 of the defendants counter claim when it was actually para 4, or if I was to quote wrong bank account numbers or incorrect evidence to support my testimony any good defense lawyer would jump on that, this is what takes time. Hard work but I am doing it with a smile on my face since I know I have her. Even if the court do not accept my written testimony and want me to be questioned by my Lawyer at least doing this he will have a list of questions to ask and hopefully I will have all the right answers and have my evidence in the right order.

My Desk now looks like a bomb has hit it, files and folders everywhere, but it's often said that a tidy desk is the sign of a small mind, as messy as it may seem I can find anything within 5 seconds, the girlfriend now understands "DON'T TOUCH", clean the rest of the house sure but leave my workspace alone, here's 40 THB fuck off and get some Som Tam or something and leave me alone, I always have been a big spender.

So if some of my latest postings have come across as "some twat of a lawyer speaking" now you know the reason, most of my time is spent working on my case now and I only pop in here occasionally at the moment and cannot tune out 100%.

    The Battle has Started

  12. I have been in many places, but I've never been in Cahoots.

Apparently, you can't go alone. You have to be in Cahoots with someone.

I've also never been in Cognito. I hear no one recognizes you there.

I have, however, been in Sane. They don't have an airport; you have to

be driven there. I have made several trips, thanks to my friends,

family and work. I live close so it's a short drive.

I would like to go to Conclusions, but you have to jump, and I'm not

too much on physical activity anymore.

I have also been in Doubt. That is a sad place to go, and I try not to

    visit there too often.

I've been in Flexible, but only when it was very important to stand firm.

Sometimes I'm in Capable, and I go there more often as I'm getting older.

One of my favourite places to be is in Suspense! It really gets the

adrenalin flowing and pumps up the old heart! At my age I need all the

    stimuli I can get!

And, sometimes I think I am in Vincible but life shows me I am not.

People keep telling me I'm in Denial but I'm positive I've never been

    there before!

I have been in Deepshit many times; the older I get, the easier it is

to get there. I actually kind of enjoy it there.

So far, I haven't been in Continent; but my travel agent says I'll be

    going soon.

  13. Here is a song you might want to add.

I'm not sure on doing the you tube link thing.

So you can post it if you believe it fits for all going on.

Tom Petty, "I wont back down"

    PT

I posted the Eddie Vedder / Pearl Jam version of that tune on 7th June, I think the acoustic version does it more justice, and trust me it does fit like a glove.

  14. Oh

One thing I forgot to mention, in the criminal hearing her lawyer requested to see my passport, obviously for visa reasons, I used my right and refused his request but allowed him to call Immigration as a witness to check out my paperwork. Immigration verified that I am here on a non-imm B visa and have paid not only my own taxes but also my employees Social Security, I am 100% legitimate businessman (farking good agent I use) so I now have a certified court judgement stating I have legal right to live here. Is this all she can try against me?

  15. Well I sent you all four secttions of the Thai Civil and Commercial plus a full document on Thai Criminal Code and you backed down. WHY?

Thai Courts are great, it's the lawyers who can lose you the case, never trust a lawyer toninvestigate, you have to do it yourself, I just counted tonight I have 96 court orders against her, this means getting.a judge to accept ones request, deliver to the recipient then take signed part of document back to issuing court, attached to form 40 as required. Bloody hard work when 3 courts involved.

For some reason this tune is in my head, and I have just sent the translator mad playing it 4 times at home

    Led Zep. Your Time

    http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=qZVsGxa_Vzk

  16. I apologies if I post too many YouTube links, but anyone who knows me recognizes me as a failed musician who went into engineering, my guitar follows me all over the world. I just pick up on tunes that fit my mood the document she submitted is now worth to me over 5 Million Baht, hence why I call her "Stupid Girl"

This may get very interesting over the next few weeks, her lawyer dropped her and now we are entering Family and Civil cases I am now allowed to present my own cases, a farang lawyer is not allowed to take on a criminal case that's all, now I can start to play with her.

Stay tuned for further updates, or even a slight musical moment that passes my mind

I confess that I am 95% sure I may lose, how many freaking farangs take on hiso Thai families and win? But even if I do lose I go down fighting, I won't back down.

So far it's looking 65% in my favour, my lawyer first stated 90% I was like fuck off man I pay you for truth not bullshit so he told me

Straight eventually. I answered 97.5 correct but the 2.5% you missed out may be critical, good point, I have a lot more reading to do.

Even when I act as my own plaintiff attorney in the civil cases I am not allowed notes since I will be on the stand, but I can use my translator to ask me questions, we have over a dozen pages already and we have only just started.

It's going to be an interesting few weeks coming up, and I will try to keep you all updated so long as i make no libelous statements

PS My translator has lived with me for more than a year now!

Stay tuned guys, welcome back my friends to the show that never ends!

  17. I have just finished analysing a document I alledgedly signed in 2004.

I went through it with a Thai Contracts Lawyer even though I primarily work in contract law myself, I wanted back up to my opinion and I was spot on, he will only charge me 2K baht for his time today and to testify on my behalf in court.

I don't know why her lawyer submitted the document , only one tune came to mind was

    http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=9-7VCSYJkdw

  18. WF

We have met up in Bangkok and Madrid and i hope you enjoyed our time together as much as I did.

As you can confirm I am probably one of the most laid back guys going, unless some bitch stomps on my rice bowl, But I am a fighter if someone pisses me off, long haul nearing completion

    Thanks for the wishes
