Steve Jobs [2015] Good theatrical piece that is better than the earlier jOBS [2013] as it keeps the viewer interested in an otherwise rather dull subject of Apple computers that one (like me) might have no interest in whatsoever.

Hail, Caesar! [2016] This is a slog through 100 minutes of self indulgence, that's time you'll wish was spent doing something else.

Room [2015] Mesmerizing well made movie covers a topical subject albeit fictional of kidnapping, imprisonment and what happens on the outside. One of the better movies I've seen.

Snowden [2016] Quite enjoyed this political thriller, even though it follows straight on from the documentary CitizenFour which is better still.

Far from the Madding Crowd (2015) Commendable adaptation but the 1967 version edges it for me.

Ex Machina [2014] Only just got around to watching this. Excellent. Or as the lead character Nathan says at the end "F%cking unreal",

Captain Fantastic [2016] ..available online now, very enjoyable and vibrant family drama.

Write debit amount in check register and place receipt in back of check book. 18. Re-check makeup. 19. Drive forward 2 feet. 20. Reverse back to cash machine. 21. Retrieve card. 22. Re-empty hand bag, locate card holder, and place card into the slot provided! 23. Give dirty look to irate male driver waiting behind you. 24. Restart stalled engine and pull off. 25.
