  1. There are two things in America at least that there are no statute of limitations. Murder and sex with a minor. Possibly other things maybe (espionage perhaps, being a Nazi prison guard I'm sure).
  2. Thoughts? http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/07/03/cop-punches-woman-los-angeles_n_5556928.html
  3. I'm a little different. I do not begrudge ANYONE who has amassed wealth. No problem in the 1% getting richer. What I object to is when they have an unfair advantage or at the expense of the rest of us. The rich and conservatives will bring up the tax rate for the rich. NO ONE pays that rate if you make over the 400k needed to be in the 1%. There are so many write offs, etc. that are out there that what you actually pay is far lower than what the average guy pays on a 40k a year office job. Buffet admits he pays a lower tax rate than his secretary. He pays under 20%. Who do you think writes the tax code? Its the lobbyists for the rich. Corporate welfare is twice social welfare but the national debate is over social welfare. My view is take away the unfair tax advantages, corporate welfare, write offs and make more money the same way you and I do, you work harder and smarter than the next guy or build a better mouse trap. The corporation are the same. They get tax write offs, go overseas and don't repatriate the profits and pay less. So, I'm not against the rich or the rich getting richer. What I do want to change are the advantages given to them and this includes their financing politicians to act on their behalf and using their wealth and power to keep us from progressing. There is no way in hell America shouldn't have already had high speed or bullet trains in the major transportation corridors like Boston to Washington, San Diego to San Francisco, across Texas adn frankly across the nation and if we really think about it from 'Maine to Miami' the I-95 route. Go to Germany, France, Japan, Korea and you'll see very efficient, fast high speed rail as an example. Why don't we have one? The airline induustry and car industries have successfully kept us from doing so. There are literally millions of jobs that would be made in doing so. American jobs, done by Americans and the work benefiting America. From professional to shovel jobs. One example. Anyway, overall I just want the 1% to abide by the same rules as you and I do.
  4. This has got to be the most competitive EPL season ever, with up to 5 clubs with a decent chance of winning but it must be said its hard took past either City or Chelsea winning it. Maybe a club could get runner up but can't see getting past both. The big question is Man Utd. Some would say they'll do well to get CL football and have a serious run at a title in years time. I'd agree with that. If Arsenal get a top striker and a decent DCM, we'll be very tough to beat. Word is Aurier is coming in at RB and he looks the business. Khedira is touted at dcm. Campbell the world cup star will likely play wide left so Walcott and him wide will give us width and tough to deal with either. Aurier rumor has it may be as fast as Walcott, even if he isn't, the right side wlll keep full backs honest. Liverpool is the other big question. Is it a one off season or are they ongoing top 4 if not legit contenders? Suarez is a source of frustation and they need to buy. City don't need much improvement. Chelsea have the platform for a very, very good side. Fabregas coming along with Costa and they already have Oscar, Torres and others. So, 5 clubs vying for 4 CL places. Wow. My guess and its way to early, I thnk it will end up take your pick of Chelsea and City, Arsenal 3rd and Man Utd 4th. Just a guess, its way too early and no one has finished buying.

    World Cup 2014

Fantastic world cup so far. Nary a boring game. Also, lots of surprises and a shock or two (Suarez). The big suprise of the tournament has to be Costa Rica. I recall one football pundit calling Concacaf the 'baseball federation' haha... America was in a 'group of death' and did more than expected just to get out of the group. This is the finest Belgian sides I've ever seen in my fairly short time as a football fan (15 years or so...wow its been that long?!!). The big question..or one of them is can a European side win the world cup in the Americas. Other than S. Africa, I'm not sure if any EUropean side has won outside of Europe. Germany and Netherlands obviously Europe's best hope. This is also one of the most mediocre Brazilian sides i've ever seen. Neymar is exceptional but Brazil always has at least one exceptional player, even in their lean years. can Argentina win in Brazil? Hostile crowd for them. So many questions. France was my surprise team before the cup. Chile the other. Its hard to cheer for anyside van Persie is on but I hoped Holland knocked out Mexico. I despise them. If I weren't American I'd probably have a soft spot for them. The fans have crossed the line when we play there. We have a freindly rivalry with Canada and we wanted one with Mexico but their hatred of America (warranted to some extent) has made their fans say the most vile things when we play there. They would chant bin Laden's name during the national anthem. They would drop N bombs at our Black players and since Obama has been elected they have dropped N bombs about him as well (the Tea Party the only Americans not offended by that..lol). Anyway, they played very well despite barely making it into the World Cup thanks ironically enough to America beating another side for them to get in. Spain obviously the big shock. The question is did the initial loss kill them mentally for the remaining games or did they have existing issues that were exposed at this competition?

    World Cup 2014

Don't give up on winning BB, you guys have a chance. sometimes the best team doesn't win.
  7. I have to assume she's half joking..half. She made soccer into a political statement about immigration in America. The grandfather thingy is a reference to europeans vs. latinos. she's Tea Party. You can't be surprised at what Tea Party people say.
  8. I have been a full grown progressive for a several months now...lol..yes, CS is a commie red pinko. The Tea party has pushed me farther left. I fear them. Literally. America is changing...and not for the better. The latest thing is the killing of the Voting Rights Act. The argument is that its outdated. The thing is, with the last election we saw about 7 swing states with Republican secretary of states enact laws to limit turnout. Voter ID being one. Sounds simple enough, get an id. No big deal. So, Why? So we can combat illegal voting. Ok, do illegals vote? No. You're more likely to get hit by lightening than an illegal voting. Logically they are trying to stay under the radar. They avoid anything where they may have furnish ID or be questioned. They could give a shyt about voting. Why do it then? Its been proven the elderly and minorities are adversely affected by voter id laws. Just one example. Racially we are going backwards. Its getting bad out there. Ever since Obama's election, its gotten bad. I think it scared the shyt out of about 20% of the population (most of the tea partyiers), I can understand why. America is changing but America was ALWAYS changing. Change that could see you partially marginalized is scary. 150 years ago the big thing was eastern and southern Europeans and Catholics. The country was ape shit over it and had an immigration law that stifled immigration for a while. But America needed the workers and the floodgates were let open again Every great nation that ruled its era was built on cheap and/or slave labor. it just is. Roman Empire. British Empire. Spanish Empire. French empire. China today. USSR was. America was/is. But I digress. The government is doing nothing by design right now. The only thing it is doing is looking for ANY reason to tax the people. Expats such as ourselves have to deal with a very old law that is being enforced about foreign bank accounts with monies over 10k. Designed for millionaires who are hiding their money, foreign banks are now to report Americans with accounts in their countries. There are some banks in some countries that will not give you a bank account if you're American because of the amount of repoting that has to be done and a privacy issue for them. I have friends in the middle east who can't get a bank account when they could before. Some have a second passport (Israeli, Mexican, etc.) from their ancestral homeland and are using that. Prison is now big business. http://rollingout.co...dont-stay-full/#_ What?!? Private prisons suing states for millions if they don’t stay full The incarceration rates are a reflection of that. 80% of blacks in prison for drugs are for marijuana posession. Not dealing, personal use. Stop and frisk for cars or your person has gotten a lot of people put away for personal use pot that is now legal in some states. On a side note, ANY state that legalized pot and has ANYONE in jail for having pot of an amount that is deemed personal use size should be let out with prison served time and allowed to have it expunged after a probationary period of say 3-5 years to weed out (no pun intended) those who are habitual criminals (they can't stop doing crime) or had no priors. There was a Penna. judge who got sent to prison ironically enough for kickbacks for filling up private prisons. He's not the only one. We are making felonies out of things that used to regular tickets or a warning. On one of my pinko, commie online sites..haha..this caught my attention, it being 4th of July week. I finished HS in an upper middle class white suburban HS. I was part of a program for at risk kids (buzzword for anyone living in the inner city..lol) the funny thing was that many of the teachers in the program were former hippies, very liberal. One got in trouble once for saying that the native Americans and Blacks were better off had the British won the war and he questioned the motives for the war (basically that the colonists had no valid motive, they were pretty much left alone by the Brits. America was their early version of Australia for people who didn't fit in.) He was saying what this guy was saying. Eurpeans on this thread can confirm but Europe politcally by and large is moving right of center or already has. America has this view of Europe as the progressive/liberal haven and for a time they'd be right but the parties that are in power or close to being in power are right of center. My guess its a reaction to a couple decades of pretty much unchecked immigration from outside of Europe (Turks, Africans, Middle Easterners) or new Europeans from Balkans and eastern Europe. America was/is going through the same. As usual, I'm verbose. Anyway, happy 4th anyway..haha...and its a great world cup. C'mon team USA beat the Belgians. (Is Belgian Boy around? )
  9. I NEVER get my news about America from American sources anymore. At least not the major media. If its not the internet (and that is under threat wtih net neutrality), al Jazeera is surprisingly very even handed. They are hated throughout the regimes of the middle east because they will report the actual facts. In fact, a couple of their jouranlists have been imprisoned in Egypt. British papers are great, especially The Guardian. Major media in America are one of a few things. a. Have an ideology already Fox News b. Don't want to buck the trend and be brave.
  10. LOL..yes. There was a long standng law in America that no one could own a tv station, radio station and newspaper in the same market. This was to avoid control of the news by a single person/entity. That got killed a couple decades ago. Thanks in part to Murdoch lobbying (paying off) the government. http://www.businessinsider.com/these-6-corporations-control-90-of-the-media-in-america-2012-6 These 6 Corporations Control 90% Of The Media In America News Corp (who owns Fox) is one of them.
  11. Lotsa rumors about Fabregas to Chelsea. Barca are willing to sell him. The interesting thing is its not because he's not playing well. One of the strangest reasons. The fans don't like him. Seems the fans have never forgiven him for leaving as a teenager and he's been booed a bit when they were dropping down the table. Stats wise he's been doing well even if its not as a starter. Anyway, Arsenal have first rights of refusal but the story is Wenger won't take him back. Maybe its because we have too many players in that position or maybe its like when Anelka left and he's never forgiven him. Another issue is that Arsenal gets a big sell on amount if he goes to another team and the rumor is Mourinho doesn't want Arsenal to make money. Over 28 million is when it kicks in. Fabregas is worth well over that but Chelsea wants him for 27 millin so Arsenal will not get any money...all stories but that's what the papers are saying. Another story is Morata, from RM may be coming on a year long loan with an option. Lotsa rumors.
  12. Cantor was pretty far right. The message of the Tea Party is do not negotiate, ever. Problem its impossible to run the goverment like that. Most congresspersons have their one line. Whatever it is, they will vote no. But some are secondary or tertiary and you can give and take. The Tea Party's basic tactic is don't give an inch. Ever. And if you and the opposition share the same thing and you both vote to enact, claim that you won and you made them blink and you didn't give an inch. Can't run things like that. But many are in safe districts where everyone has a bunker mentality. This is not gonna end well. Obama has gotten the fringe out since his election. Its a very hardcore fringe. Republicans are gonna disagree with him, all well and good, its normal politics to disagree with the opposition President but they seem to be doing with a religious zealotry where he's demonized to the point where to some he's not even legitimate. Its a bit scary to me. Maybe not others but to me it is. The left has thieirs as well but the difference is they don't have the power within the party.
  13. He's a smoker and trying to quit hence the gum chewing. Didn't read the link so it could have said t.
  14. Reports are Arsenal are very close to a deal for Morata. DiMaria is also being discussed. I know we need a striker and we should but frankly, I'd take DiMaria over Morata and Benzema if given a choice of RM players. We can get Remy or a host of other very capable strikers. DiMaria and Walcott wide with the plethora of qaulity in the middlle of the pitch and a couple capable strikers is very, very scary.
  15. Wow. Tnat has to be by design. Immigration is one of those things we need a frank and honest discussion about but like so many other issues, its politicized to the point where nothing of any consequence is done.
  16. LOL...Aresnal beat Tottenham and Liverpool on the way to the cup final. I wouldn't call it an easy route. I didn't hear Man Utd complaining about beating Millwall a few years ago in a cup final. Man Utds can sure be arrogant. But to be fair it comes with extremely successfu sides. Real Madrid and Bayern Munich fans are the same. Things go in cycles. Man Utd will not always be successful. They readily forget 1968-1993. No club is immune from drought years. To think you are too big for drought years you are either naive or Celtic (if you get the joke). There is no guarantee van Gaa wil turn things around. The EPL will be the most contested league from now on. Arsenal may not see a title soon but the same can be said about Man Utd. There are two clubs with far more money to spend than they do (Chelsea and City) and Arsenal can compete financially with Man Utd now, first time ever in the EPL. As great as he is, I don't think even Ferguson could manage more than a title...maybe...in this new environment. He never beat Mourinho to a title (Mourinho left mid season Man Utd won it) and Man Utd enjoyed mediocre managers at City when they got their oil money as well as an Arsenal side that had to pay off a stadium. Liverpool are back and Everton aren't title quality yet but are a couple players from pushing very hard for a top 4 finish. Arsenal has its issues, but the fact is we finished 7 points from top and when we get a top striker and buy some quality players at positions, we will be very, very tough to beat, Lifting a trophy is a huge psychological boost. It can transform a side. It transformed Man Utd in '90. In Mourinho's first year they won the league cup and it gave them belief for the rest of the spring. When Man Utd went 3 years without a tite in 2004, 2005 and 2006 they used the league cup to get back the feeling of lifting a trophy again and go for the league. So, I wouldn't necessarily count Arsenal out as a one off. You can see how much it was to them and it has whet apetites for more. Man Utd will be hard pressed to make the CL next season. Chelsea and CIty are in the top 3, I doubt many would doub that. After that you have us, Man utd, Liverpool. What if Man utd go 2 years no CL, no title or trophy? Very possible.

    Coup Declared

I have a question. Is the curfew nationwide or only for Bangkok? Is it for Thais only or everyone (which makes it silly since no one is out anyway). I know some people planning a vacation. i said I think its still okay probably for the following reason. Thailand thrives on the tourist dollar (or pound or euro). They know where their bread is buttered and Ive always been aware of an unsaid, unwritten rule that thai politics are domestic and do not include foreigners. They are exempt from the anger, etc. Jamaica is like that. It can be a vioent island, especially in Kingston but there is an unwritten rule that they only crime you do against tourists is removing them from their money with overpriced stuff. The criminals know that 1. they will be deat with severely and 2. they don't want Jamaica to suffer from lack of tourism. I've been to Jamaica many times. Thailand seemed the same to me. I've gone during political strife and I've never felt unsafe. I've never felt like someone would take out their domestic political frustrations on me even if they would on the thai opposition. Am I naive?
  18. I've since heard its not true. others say it is. Its illegal without cause.
  19. This is some of the scariest shyt I've read since arbitrarily killing American ciitizens suspected of and/or in the company of suspected terrorists http://www.nydailynews.com/entertainment/music-arts/yaslin-bey-aka-mos-def-barred-entering-u-s-tour-report-article-1.1801864 This is a rapper whose music I grew up with. Brookyn born and bred. He's political but okay, so is George Clooney. Anyway, he was in Africa and is now barred from re-entering America. So far he is not charged with or accused of a crime. Even so, he has the right as any other citizen to a fair trial. he seems to be arbitrarily denied entry and it has to be assumed for his political views. Has he advocated the overthrow of the government or the assassination of the President? No. The worst of his offenses has been a re-enactment of how Guantanomo prisoners are force fed. This is the scariest shyt so far to me. I'm not going to call this an Obama thing either. As contentious as both parties are they fully agree on one thing, the government is the ultimate power the constitution be damned. I'm under no illusion, Romney or McCain would be any different and actually I think worse if that was possible. And as much as the tea party goes on about the government out of our lives, the Bundy guy is a true patriot, yadda, yadda, don't think for one second they will weaken or remove the polce state. I've not ever heard of China, Russia or Iran telling citizens they cant' come back. Maybe they have but I've never heard it.
  20. Exciting season. For the first time in a while any number of clubs could have won the title. Next season could be the most contentous in many years. City would have to be the favorites. The most money, biggest squad. Doesn't need much tweaking. Chelsea will be interesting. I wouldn't be surprised if Mourinho overhauls the squad. It was obvious he was disappointed in how the team responded. Depending on how much he overhauls he will need time to gel new players and if too many changes will need most of the first half of the season. Liverpool are a quandry. Some think its a one off season like how they finished runner up a few years ago. They will certainly strengthen. CL money will help their transfer kitty. Rumor is RM is looking to get Suarez and will send Benzema to Arsenal to help defray the cost. If Suarez goes its dicey for Rodgers. It could easily be a Spurs situation where you lose the most key player and your buys do not gel or pan out. If he stays they will simply buy better at key positions and get a bigger squad. They, like Arsenal with Giroud, were very lucky that Suarez stayed relatively healthy. Its asking for too much to do that a second straight season but Sturridge is very good and has not gotten the credit he deserves. BIg question is will Liverpool challenge again? My beloved Arsenal. "Shirley" Wenger can not fvck up 3 straight transfer windows? Getting a striker is obvious and there are some big names that keep popping up. We have the money. We also need a defensive center mid and possibly a RB with Sagna probably going. I hate to see him go. He's a solid player. We may also need a 3rd defender with Vermaelen probably out the door as well as a left side midfielder. If Arsenal wins the FA Cup and I expect us to I think it will be massive for belief. The players have never lifted a trophy at the club and this will whet their apetites for more. Also, we finished 'only" 7 points from top. In most years that is runner up, 3rd at worst. I think had we gotten a top striker he would have been good for 6 points. Injuries hurt us as well but with everyone back next season and new buys it will be the best Arsenal side since '05. Man Utd. Huge questions. van Gaal is who most assume is coming. Man Utd will buy and buy big. A creative center mid/playmaker, "quarterback" to borrow an American term is an obvious. Some say its Fabregas. God forbid!! Cesc is no manc, he's a gooner. Only way he comes is if Barca kicks him out and no other takers. Another possibility is Modric who Man Utd wanted when he was at Tottenham. Other names will surely be tossed about. Where will Man Utd finish? Man Utd will bounce back but when? My guess is top 3 next season if they get a good manager and new players. Can't see Mourinho and Pelligrini not finishing top 2 unless either Arsenal or Liverpool get their acts together. Interesting stat that rules our Arsenal and Man Utd for the title. No club has ever won the EPL (not the old 1st division) without finishing at least 3rd the season prior. So, either City, Chelsea or Liverpool will win the title. Everton are a marvel and Martinez is doing a great job. They need more players and a bigger squad and they don't have the money. Getting 4th would have gotten them about 30 mil. Another interesting stat that will put a smile on gooners faces. Tottenham has finished above every EPL club the last 5 years except Arsenal.
  21. The one thing with America almost without exception is that we look kindly and forgive people incuding Presidents. Nixon was hated or disliked in the end. He was pitied and more was written about his accompishments than his failures. Carter is seen differently. Johnson certainly is rememberd for championing civil rights than getting us deeper into Vietnam. No one talks about Clinton's impeachment. Its a testament to Americans forgive and remember fondly if possible. I suspect Obama will be the same.
  22. The REAL story of the Apple vs. Samsung lawsuit http://www.vanityfair.com/business/2014/06/apple-samsung-smartphone-patent-war
  23. On another note, i've "discovered" Philipines. The Pattaya I knew 15 years ago is gone. Its jaded, cyncal. Been to PI twice so far this year. Also, working on me. Been gone for a while. A lot more depressed about things unfortunately. About America. About a lot of things but I am a happy camper generally for those that know me.
  24. The revolution that was not televised. One must ask why no major media covered this? http://www.collective-evolution.com/2013/01/11/why-did-media-keep-the-recent-peaceful-icelandic-revolution-quiet/ Why Did The Media Keep The Recent Peaceful Icelandic Revolution Quiet?
  25. Been saying for a few years now the America you think you have no longer exists. We are barely a republic. The scary thing is the masses are now used to being in a police state. The various police departments across the nation are closer to the Nazi brown shirts than the policeman we were taught to respect in 1st grade. The courts and legislatures have given them free reign. I've seen many, many videos on social media of police caught on camera abusing folks. These are your run of the mill white suburban types. Soccer moms included. For years blacks and latinos would say the police were abusive and no one believed it because the police in the urban areas treated people differently than the police in suburban areas. Had Rodney King been white, he wouldn't have gotten the abuse he did. Now its everyone. In Pennsylvania recently the courts ruled the police can search your car without your permission. The courts are allowing the constitution to be trampled. I saw a video recently of a post NCAA game get together at a college campus after a loss or win, can't recall but the polce were in riot gear. There was a video of a regular run of the mill white college co-ed simply walking and talking on her phone and for no apparant reason a cop charges her and knocks her down. It was on video and bystanders were saying 'wtf?' She was shocked, everyone was shocked. She was not doing anything abnormal. I guarantee you that cop will not get fired and the girl's case will not see the light of day. Courts aren't letting you file lawsuits as you could before. McCain has recentlly said Americans should just get used to surveilance. Its BOTH parties. Obama just continued what Bush did. 911 gave the government as well as state and loca the okay to violate civil liberties. It was original done in the name of homeland security now its just done without reason given. It just is. Middle America is seeing what I've experienced and seen growing up. The 'stop and frisk' law in NYC is so onerous. There are plenty of videos of cops stopping the SAME kid 2 or 3 times as he walks to school. The cops are judged partially on how many stops they do. Almost all minorities, college kids have been stopped mulitple times. These kids are not wearing sagging pants, they are wearing carrying school books, looking collegiate. Any cop who spends even 6 months in an urban area can easily tell someone who seems a gangbanger than a normal kid. If a cop on the street can't he doesn't deserve his badge. I can easily size someone up in 5 seconds in the city. You have to. its a survival instinct. You have to determine friend or foe immediately in urban areas, EVERYONE does. and cops are no different. but i digress. Drones are now being used in America and there was a recent article about a drone who almost hit a plane and how now there are going to be so many drones over American airspace that we may have to start coordinating with airport traffic personnel. It was always gong to be the next step. We are sheep though. As a collective we won't do anything. We are going backwards. Race relations has gone backwards since Obama has been elected. There are a minority but hard core section who fear the changing America that will be demographically different in a generation. Its normal to fear this, not saying its right but its nomral human nature. WASP Americans feared the massive immigration of catholics, eastern and southern europeans (slavs, the balkans, Jews, Italians, Greeks, Ukrainians, etc.) a 150 years ago. It was bigger than the anti immigration feelings of today. The Know-Nothing party was formed for this reason and immigration got severely limited for a time. What America has done can be seen on the census. America divides and conquers ethnically. Jews, Italians, irish, Eastern Europeans, Balkans were not deemed 'white'. Higher than Blacks, Asians and Latinos but not totally white 150 years ago. you were not white on the census. Italians especially Sicilians who were often dark were certainly not considered white in America 150 years ago and being Catholic, especialy so. Many people do not know this but there is an Italian section of Harlem. Itialian immigrants at the turn of the century were not allowed housing in 'white' areas and setted in a part of east Harlem (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/East_Harlem#Italian_Harlem) Just like Puerto Ricans ater (spanish harlem), Harlem was for any group who could not find housing elsewhere and dark complected. Now Italians are deemd white on the census. Now the change is latinos. The census 50 years ago said 'Hispanic' whether or not you were from Mexico, Cuba, Argentina or Columbia. Now its divided into 'white of hispanic origin' is one of the options. So if you are a blonde from Argentina originally you get listed as white. Jews were identified as Jews on the census many years ago and no longer(http://www.amazon.com/Became-White-Folks-About-America/dp/081352590X) . Why are these changes significant? Some groups are now 'part of the club' of the majority culture and will not identify with other other groups. We are balkanizing ourselves into us vs. them, and its part of the reason we still have race problems in America. It has to be by design. Disunite everyone so we can control everhone. Americans en masse won't act on one accord such as getting rid of violations of civil liberties, etc. There is a reason why Americans of all hues get along OUTSIDE of America better than inside America. Its easier for Americans of different ethnic groups to talk, be friends at a bar in Bangkok than it is in a bar in Boston. We are now a 'corpocracy' in America. Companies, industries, control everything. Been that way for a while. I had a good friend in LA who was a congressional aid for a liberal democrat congressman. He wanted to change the world, change America. He said that most of the bills you see in Congress are written by special interest groups. Almost all and EVERY bill that regulates business and commerce is written by a lobby and edited by the congressman. Some bills seemingly hurtful to business are an appeasement for some sort of issue in the news and the people want a change. America should have not only had but should have been leading in high speed trains, bullet trains, etc. Boston-Washington DC is a given. SF to San Diego is a given. Across Texas is a given. Atlanta to Miami is a no brainer. Why not? The airline industry has successfullly blocked it. The number of jobs, domestic jobs, from high skilled to low and no skilled jobs to build and maintain them are in the millions. The jobs and the wages stay in America. Japan, France, Korea, etc. has excellent high speed lines. We need refineries and with the building of the amount needed we could halve the cost of gas. We won't. The oil industry wants to maintain its high profits. America will have access to more oil domestically than Saudi Arabia once the shale oil is gotten to. 'Saudi America' is the industry term for it. That oil will NOT lower the cost of gas. We would be almost totally self sufficient if we wanted to be. Anyway, as usual, my posts are too long and denotes my cyncism and exasperation of America and why I see no reason to live there.
