Friend of mine from Oz just went back to Bangkok for a few weeks this month, first visit in nearly 10 years, used to live in Bangkok, came back and saw me today.

Was stunned at the costs and comparison to Oz, Bangkok in her humble opinion was no longer cheap, the best clothing deal she got (being female) was she thought very funny to be Tesco.

Up country she fond things obviously cheaper, more advanced, but still far closer to Oz pricing than when she lived here.

I didn't shop in expensive places in Thailand, I shopped in normal places and coming to Australia it's amazing that "food" is almost same price as Thai.

Last trip to restaurants I unexpectedly found a number of places better quality, but customers Very low, so maybe supplies are better at higher end. Street food I am not big on in Bangkok, just a few place, now you mention, my fav khoa soi gai spot was more watery for all the meals I had there

Eddie the Eagle, not bad, ironically the "truer" version of his life is far funnier than the movie version. Plus he was actually a good skier, just never jumped before. But things like living in a Mental hospital because it was cheaper than anything is hilarious! why not include in the movie?

I opted to put in a stamped return envelope.

Once I completed the form, added in some things for proof of relationship, took about 30 minutes on line.

Cost was about $180Aus, no idea what in other currencies.

Passport returned within 5 days as I said,

Then I waited THREE FARKIN WEEKS before almost having a heart attack, so I called, told them we leave in a week, answer was just WAIT.

Prices have not gone up like other places, so I found it oddly better value than usual.
