  1. Note also when a launch costs $90Million 10% is a good saving. If a program costs $90 Billion/Trillion, still a saving but NOT a game changer.

My clear argument here is this is NOT a game changer, it's a nice to have, not a must to have.

  2. Hands up those that work in the space industry and are customers of Musk?

My issue is re-usable launchers are not significant advance in cost reduction, saying that as a customer.

NOW if you want to say Musk and battery technology will make it possible, then I'd be more likely to agree. Batteries have a far more significant role to play on a long ride into space and colonization.

  3. If you behave like a knob, you get treated, and called one.

Thos board could do with a real female, and their honest opinions,

You sadly fail on both counts.

Seriously, why bother with us? Why not fuck off, or, try being smart, rather than a cunt, if you have one that is

  4. Mate, I'ma customer of this service, inthe case of a mars trip, the amount saved is minimal in overall budget.

In case of a satellite operator, its a significant amount.

    But satellites arent pr sexy.

    Mars travel is.

    Hence the pr

  5. <<As you know, it was only the command module, that made it back from the moon, the other components were discarded.>>

No it was a rocket being used.

And Falcon disvarded the other components as well, ie the satellites and other parts.

    It's good PR

Private companies will be involved in reaching mars, but as part of a government project.

  6. <<

The key with this, is that the rocket's fuel stage managed to land and ergo, can be reused. This will bring the cost of Mars travel down to a level >>

    Why?

Good PR, but fundermentaly it companies like those i work for that benefit,

No company will colonize Mars, the cost is insane, rewards far too limited.

Now if you said for mining astroid belt, "IF" there was reason too, possibly a company in 50 too 100 years may venture that far.

  7. ? Why is that fundamental to Mars travel?

The lunar lander was also a rocket that blasted off, many rockets have landed,

This is only relevant to the Satellite industry as it brings down cost of launch.

FYI we use Falcon for launches
