Hms seems tobe a developing repeat theme- I was living full time here and as I remember in 91-92 the civilian populace rose up against the coup junta with many protests which in turn led to conflict and then the killings. Agreed- I think the essential issue is that Farang countries have a naïve view that the electoral process here is legit. I have no idea why they would believe this as its not really legit anywhere IE BUsh Fla etc

I landed in BKK coming from the states with less than 6 months on my passport ... I had a casual conversation at Immi / promised to get over to the embassy ASAP and he let it pass.

From my point of view this was of course inevitable given Suthep has been interfering with all kinds of governmental functions let alone the traffic etc for months and the reds have been out launching grenades and murdering people with impunity- Zero surprise-But what next?
