Guest
Here is some info I found on the web: "Ferry Boat from Pattaya to Coral Island (Koh Laan) by suraphona Getting TO/AROUND: Koh Laan Koh = Island Laan or Larn = Million or Hairless or Bald Koh Laan often call Coral Island situated 7.5 Kms from Pattaya Beach. The island ist famous for their white sandy beaches and plentyful corals. There are daily many ferries for only THB 20.- with the journey time arond 45 min., from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM to Koh Laan, and returning to Pattaya from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM. To reach Koh Laan with speedboat will take only 15 minutes. Koh Laan's 3 famous beaches are Haad Tha Waen (north), Haad Samae Sarn or Haad Samae (south west), and Haad Laem Thien (south west). The transport with small bus from pier at Koh Laan to Haad (beach) will cost about THB 50.-/trip/pers. Most of the transport belong to the beach reastaurant so you will get the beach-chair at Haad Samae for 10 THB, if you came with the bus no.1, no. 26. The beautiful sunset from Koh Laan you can see during your departure. There are also rooms and resorts and tent for rent at the island."
SoiledCowboy
Perhaps you might like to splash out and hire any decent-sized speedboat along the beachfront - travel further away from the pier and the prices can be negotiated down even further, but for comforts' sake maybe get a slightly bigger craft. Many hotels or beachfront business will also know a speedboat driver that can pick you up, take you there and pick you up at the appointed time - negotiate the best price before you book - and you will have to wade in to the shore but should still be ok for you. Guest
Last time I was in Pattaya I aslo rented a speed boat from the foreshore. The trip was a bit rough but the guy was happy to stop at places on the way. (only me and girl on boat) I was a bit dissapointed when I got there though as it was not really any differnent to sitting under an umbrella on Pattaya beach. In fact Pattaya was less crowded, cleaner, better service and cheaper.
Guest
LOS is certainly the place to go if you have limited use of your hands. :: ::
