Guest
"Phom ja-bai dee" = "I later go good". (lit.) Can I assume this translates to: ' I'm goin' good' = slang for "I'm doing good/great/OK"? As in a response to "Sabai dee mai". HT
Guest
Should be "Phom sabai dee" = I'm fine. You must be mishearing.
samak
very strange indeed; does the person, who you heard speaking lisp a bit? the part bai of sabai has nothing to do with the word pai/bpai to go; standing alone it has no meaning. only in southern thai dialect bai is used without sa like: bai dee mai? bai dee djang hoo! Pharcyde
HT, Maybe its the "bai dee" in the future tense. "Bai dee" means something along the line of "go good", or good luck. Cheers, Pharcyde
