Torneyboy
There are fears the world cup in Australia could be littered with dreary penalty shootouts as disturbing statistics emerge from the opening round of super 12. A get tough edict to refs from the international rugby board triggered a flurry of whistle blowing at the weekend. With 44 penalty goals scattered across 6 matches in Australia, new zealand and south africa. So fewer tries less attacking in short..boreing footy. gobbledonk
Samak, LOL ! You are an evil man The subject of the World Cup will be a lot more popular as it draws closer - I'd imagine the Poms have a lot more to get excited over at the moment with their own football season, and the Yanks are unlikely to warm to a sport where you have to throw the ball backwards (or kick) to legally go forward. Personally I am more interested in the coming League season for the moment, but I will also be excited when the games come to BrisVegas - our replacement for Lang Park should be finished sometime in 2005 .... Torneyboy is simply a premature ejac, er, promoter !
Torneyboy
My comments were directed at amount of penalties getting dished out and what may happen if this trend followes into the cup
