robaus
If 450 baht/night is your price range, as a "slightly" better alternative for the money, try Siam Sawasdee on Soi Bukhao bottom of Soi Honey Inn (200m from Apex) at 350(lo season) 400 (hi), ac cable tv room service etc. NOT a room overlooking bars north of hotel, ..best by pool. Haven't stayed there for a couple of years personally (bought a condo), but a couple of mates have. What you save on hotel room, you can spend on booze and girls. Savings pay for your next trip. Mentors
I checked all Siam Sawasdee hotels around Pattaya. The maids are lazy, the rooms very dirty and loud. Resonable prices and very poor service.
Guest
To HamokHamok, Maybe the LEKhotel isn't bad if you look for budgetprice. I took breakfast there yesterday (100 baht all you can eat). I inquired about the price of their rooms and they said it was 540 baht right now. I have never stayed there but it doesn't look bad. By the way the discount given by the more expensive places right now is hughe. Saw several signs last days at the better hotels with prices below 500 baht. robaus
There's only one "Siam" Sawasdee. It was brand new 2 or 3 years ago when I stayed there. Had no problems with the maids at all. I guess service can be the luck of the draw.

[/QB] I suppose I have understood you but can you clarify for me: A deposit was needed for all the things you mentioned ??? Are they not all included in the room price? Which is paid when you depart? I may have to change my plans now is that is the case. I don't fancy handing out deposits. Before you know it the will want a deposit for toilet paper. E-mail me direct if you wish. Thanks.
