Guest Posted May 27, 2003 Report Share Posted May 27, 2003 I paid 500Bht per Viagra from a pharmacy on Sukhumvit. I'm sure it was on the left hand side as you walk from soi 11 towards Robinsons. I found the stuff to be great for when you've had one (6 or 7!!) too many.. never tried any of the copycat brands though. Anyone know how they compare? ..Oh, and unless you have a specific problem to overcome try cutting the tablet up with a razor/stanly blade rather than taking it whole. I cut it into 3equal sized parts which certainly produced the desired effects if taken about 20-30mins prior to the deed! as it were... so it was really 500Bht for 3pills in effect... or maybe I'm just cheap! Afaik, there is no reliable method. I recommend sticking to the genericas, they are cheaper if they don't work, you will have spent less money. I made the experience, that it is sometimes not the pharmacy that made the fault. I usually buy in a small pahrmacy not far away from Robinsons (K.S.-Pharmacy (sp.?)) and they are imo very reliable, but sometimes they have more or less better quality. A little research shows that SE Asia is flooded with the fake, whose packaging is identical down to the hologram, so we cant go by that. Now that I am looking, Ive noticed that many of the pills that I believe are suspect, have the following characteristics. The blue coating comes off on wet finger easily..From a comparison to what I believe to be a real one, the real one has a tough coating, and is totally waterproof. The real one also is a deeper blue that the others. Fakes also break very easily. As far as box packaging goes, there are a few characteristics. One of the fake boxes have a "recycled paper" look, says made in usa, and is obviously fake. There are two other types of boxes..one has only english, and the other is has Thai writing on parts of the box. This is all Ive got at the moment, perhaps readers can contribute evidence till we build up a big pic. Dogdy Pharamacies ----------------------- I tried 4 places last night, and all of them failed my wet finger test, so I wont name them till we can verify the test..then Ill be glad to name and shame. Could someone who has access to the real deal, please check my finding and post results. PS: Is there a hospital pharamacy near Sukumvit, as they would have to be selling the real thing..I dont mind paying if its the real stuff.
