Fidel
Here's a link to a couple of Papers written by Students at ANU. The first one is called [color:"green"] Speaking in Thai, Dreaming in Isan: Popular Thai television and emerging identities of Isan 'Lao' youth living in northeast Thailand. The second one is called: [color:"green"] "Phumphuang Gives Luck": The Emergence of the Cult of Phumphuang Duangchan, Memory Reproduction and Cultural Messages Click here if you want to read 'em. Maybe a bit in-depth but interesting.
thai3
Pattana is a nice guy from khorat university not a student at ANU, he sent me a book on morlam cing which he co wrote. What a great job going to concerts and interviewing performers. If you can read thai the morlam cing book is in the shops . Seems very accademic, but the only book on morlam I have ever seen-peter
Fidel
I just assumed they were both from ANU because I got it from their website. Yes, it would be a cool job!
