OOT-AHT

My lady says that there are two different words:

OOT(l)-AHT(l) with long vowel and low tone on both syllables. This does mean "sluggish" and is a synonym of NGOOM(f)-NGAHM(f)

But the word that I originally posted about is OOT-AHT

Aw Ang, Sa Ra Oo, Daw Dek, Aw Ang, Mai Han Aakat, Daw Dek

ÃÖ´ÃÑ´ -eut ut (sp?) - an adjective that is somewhat synonymous with mai sabai jai - äÃèʺÒÂã¨.. And can describe a person with an uncomfortable stiffled, surpressed or covered up kind of feeling or I think can quite simply mean to be embarrassed.

Hope this is accurate.. I will ask more about it at school today..

Cheers

Agree,

OOT-AHT means to be uncomfortable in one way or the other, The expression can be used about either social, physical or psychological discomfort.

Last time I heard it was when I took my girlfriend out to eat at an Italian restaurant. After struggeling through a rather fatty pizza, she cound t finish it saying "Oot Aht". ::

My take on the other expression "Gae Gah" . It means something like disturbing, interfering or bothering. Mostly it is used when referning to furniture or other "concrete" stuff that somehow has been misplaced in a disturbing manner.
