Guest Posted June 29, 2003 Report Share Posted June 29, 2003 Struggling to find a clean quite beach reasonably close to Pattaya. Jomtien is a shithole! Empty wine bottles, broken glass (plenty of it), cans, bottle tops, satay sticks, filthy water. Who in their right mind would swim there? Throw in all the touts and the place is unbearable. A boat ride over to Hardtien at the back of Ko Larn is worth the trip in low season, just check the weather as low tide is no fun. But looking at all the deck chairs, jet skiis, etc., it must draw hundreds of group tours in better times. The hotel receptionist recommended heading down to Rayong for some tranquility? Any tips?
