OK old-timers/experts, time to 'fess up. What, after all these years, still trips you up when you speak Thai?

Which words/tones/vowels/consonants do you still mangle like a novice everytime you say them?

My own personal bogeymen are the words '¡Åèç/¡Åéç' (box/camera) - not that I can't pronounce the difference I just get them mixed up(ie I took a photo with my new box)

I often have trouble saying words or phrases that have '§', '¹' and 'Ã' in them ie Êӹѡ§Ò¹ or ·Ó§Ò¹¹Ñ¡

My mispronouciation of ºÇª as »Ç´ was met with such hystreical laughter I have erased the word from my conciousness.

So any other cunning Thai linguists want to admit to constantly stumbling on something particularly easy? :cussing:

yes,

continuously i find myself having trouble between the pair "bor baimai" and "pbor pbla".

The pair "dor daek" and "dtor dtao" also confuse themselves in my pronounciation.

Brings up some funny words sometimes...like sunshine in thai...

:)

Greets,

PC

ps, sorry, no thai keys available here.
