Says limbo:

It's strange though, you have enough talent. How long ago is it that no Belgian rider won a stage? I know the Dutch had a few meagre years, that's why I'm glad we were able to pull one off.

I'll be rooting against Armstrong next year. As six victories (consecutive or conglomerate) has never been accomplished, it would equate in many minds as the best cyclist ever. Ever since Indurain, it seems the sport has become about not making mistakes. There is now too much riding behind rear wheels (they never "drag" anymore) and an over-reliance on the team and radio communication. Armstrong and company have certainly mastered these tactics but the best ever? Eddy, Eddy, Eddy!

Also, with the most prestige, it's the only event he enters, bypassing Italy and the one-day classics to train year-round as a Tour de France robot.

Hi Sfinkz,

first of all congrats to Armstrong, Cooke and Virenque.

Second, I agree full heartedly that Eddy is the greatest. 110%.

However, Armstrong does participate in the one day classics. He's almost won the Amstel Gold Race twice.

What I don't like in the TdeF is the team times trial, that's how Lance won this year. I'ld like to skip it.

Anyway, thanks for making this a pleasant forum and see ya all next year.
