SUZIBANDIT
A few months ago I upgraded from ME to XP Pro. There were problems along the way, but almost all have been sorted. One that hasn't, and I haven't bothered to fix yet is that after installing XP, Winamp no longer works. Also, I can't get Window's Media Player to play MP3's either. My GF has a huge collection on my hard drive and is now hassling me to get things working. Is there a way to make WMP play Mp3's? If not, which free MP3 download do you think is best and where can I download it from? Thanks for any tips.
Guest
Have you tried re-installing it? The standard player with XP should work, try checking your soundcard drivers, if there is a problem there you'll get errors when playing audio or video. Do you get any error messages or just no sound?? I use musicmatch jukebox for MP3. not sure if you can download it but you'll find it in panthip. carlton68
Hi, like buksida said, try to reinstall winamp, might solve the problem. Maybe there a problem with the file association? open an explorer window, go to extras - options - file types and check what program is associated with mp3. WMP 9 is available for download, maybe you upgrade to that? Brave man, upgrading ME to XP. Doing it the hard way.
