steffi
When is the spouse of an Australian national legally allowed to work in Australia? When during this process can you enrol your spouse in Medicare? (please note: My spouse is a perfectly healthy woman. We're not here to leech off the state)

Guest
If you run into my ex down there tell her hello and hope she croaks soon. Also let her know the check is in the mail and it should be there by December 3000.

My wife was on a student visa...allowed to work 20 hours max...breach and bye bye...back to LOS. on approval she will get a letter with her case officers name showing case number and visa approval..also says how to obtain the medicare card...and also says ....(can work). I have just been all through this.

Although the visa is probably temporary initially.

sky brow
TB, Is your wives medicare cover, full cover or is it a limited cover? sky brow.
Torneyboy
Hi Not limited..she has the same card as me. so if she goes to a bulk billing doctor/medical centre..she wont have to pay a cent. If go to one that charges she claims back the difference and gets a cheque from medicare.
