Guest Posted June 4, 2001 Report Share Posted June 4, 2001 I would highly reccomend Montien House on Chaweng. The rooms go for about 900-1100 baht per night. It's on a nice part of the beach and the service is good. It's also a minutes walk to the main road and the Green Mango disco. Clean sheets, free bottled water and good maid service. You can't beat it. They have semi-detached bungalows and also some rooms in a two storey hotel. The bungalows are nicer because they face into the garden which is really nice. If it's not busy you can probably bargin down the price and if it isn't too hot you can ask them to turn off the air-con and ask for a fan rate. No problem with guests. The only problem there is if you are particularly active in the sack at night the wooden bed makes a hell of a screech as it slides around on the tiled floor !!!
