dddave
Have any board members ever actually made a claim with a travel insurance company for emergency medical expenses or medical evacuation while on a trip. I've been looking at a number of travel policies with a confusing array of benifits. I wonder how they are to deal with if one should try to make a claim. Three months coverage, with $50,000 emergency medical coverage, $1000 dental and $100,000 evacuation cost about $350.00 (US) It seems like a good deal, but I wonder what the catches are. dj
Torneyboy
Hi The only real ""Catch"" is if you don''t declare pre existing medical conditions. Or you do something that the conditions of the policy state are not covered..IE..skydiving etc. I have handled many claims on behalf of my clients and the only problems have been with pre existing..fill the form out dont bend the truth and you should be fine. If still worried call the insurance watch dog in your state to see if the company is ok.
dddave
Torneyboy Is there any US company that you have found to be particularly straightfoward to deal with? Any that come to mind that are best avoided? Thanks for the reply. dj
