Man, I remember when Oz first migrated to the decimal currency we currently enjoy, and our dollar was worth more than the US dollar ! OK, I was still very young in '66, but I believe that we had one of the strongest economies on the planet, albeit one which relied solely on ripping stuff out of the ground and sending it to Japan.
