samak Posted July 8, 2001 Report Share Posted July 8, 2001 friday evening in hongkong i was confirmed that the worst is over, so i went to the airport to board a TG flight back to bangkok; after boarding it started. heavy winds with over 65 knots were shaking the plane; i have never experienced such turbulences in the air...and the plane was still grounded. they served dinner and i asked the flight attendant, whether they also have breakfast on board. after 6 hours in the plane; they announced, that the flight was cancelled, no hotels in hongkon available. as over hundred flights were cancelled, there sas quite a chaos at the airport. the plane finally left the other morning at 0900 for bangkok.
