Places to stay for 20-25 per night walking distance to snorkeling or a place on the beach. this sounds like a nice place is there good food there? Guest Posted August 7, 2001 Report Share Posted August 7, 2001 Thumper, I just booked a flight that takes me from Bangkok to Samui and then from Samui to Pattaya (or close to it) for about $120 US, it was slightly more Bangkok-Samui-Bangkok - maybe $140. I only have three weeks in Thailand and didn't want to waste a day each way on the train or bus in addition to the 2 hour ferry ride over. I am staying at The Weekender in Samui for 3 or 4 nights before heading to Koh Tao for 10 days of scuba diving. Have stayed on Lamai beach before and enjoyed it, have also heard good things about it from others. The beach in Lamai is great.
