Guest Posted December 29, 2003 Report Share Posted December 29, 2003 Am wondering if anyone in the same boat as I am with high cholesterol has found any generic Lipitor (atorvastatin) or something close in LOS. It's under patent and the price (some B80 per 20mg pill, if memory serves) would seem to reflect it. Then again, Viagra is also under patent but that didn't prevent the Indians from coming out with something like Penegra. Am hoping they're taking similar pity on us uninsured cash-strapped types with high cholesterol. Have tried Zocor, BTW, and the Thai generic simvastatins, as well as Mevacor (lovastatin) but don't seem to tolerate those very well.
