Straycat
Hmm...not sure if this belongs to Arts and Culture or if it's Technology. In any case, where is the best place to download Thai music -- luuk tung and/or modern popular music? I notice there are many sites around but some are not working and others are very slow. There's a tiny bit on Kazaa as well but it seems that program does not support Thai script so it's difficult to search and interpret your finds. Disclaimer: I'm only interested in links so I can make a back up copy of my extensive CD collection, of course. If you feel you don't want to post links, please PM me. thai3
Why download it and cheat performers who are hardly the best paid in the world. Thai Cd's are so inexpensive anyone can afford to support these great singers and musicians.OK some like Mike Piromporn are doing very nicely but lots of others struggle to make a good income and one of the most famous luktung singers has just moved recording companies yet again beacause the previous label were short changing her. Sorry to sound like a kill joy but I think it's damaging the industry and the argument that it can increase sales is, as far as Thai music goes just not true-peter
Straycat
In principle I agree with you wholeheartidly (especially since some of my own income is dependent on other people respecting copyright). However, reality is a different thing. I don't think I need to explain further.
