Guest
Paper claims Thailand has HIV E. Is this version weaker, stronger, or whatever then the other versions? Also, the Thai TV claims HIV is on the rise in Bangkok. Has anybody got any real information on this?
iono
Let me ask this; at one time didn't they show that a certain population of people had some type of immunity to HIV? Scandinavian (unsure), I thought I heard about a guy that had some kind of immunity? It would only make sense that there are different strains of HIV, like an STD becoming drug resistant due to the continuous spreading of the disease (while an individual is infected, however being treated with antibiotics). whosyourdaddy
Thailand has always had the HIV "e" strain. My research is years outdated but it tended to be more contagious that other strains. Tonnes of info on the net
Guest
E and AE strains are the most common ones in Thailand. And you're right, they are more contagious than other strains.
