pattaya127
Reading the Real Time section this friday, like any friday, I was reminded of a later thread where WYD said there was little culture in BKK. I dunno, plenty of events, lectures, seminars, art/gallery exhibits concerts, trips, etc... advertised there. This is a thread question. How many here read these pages (or the Nation's) to see what's going on and make plans to attend one of these events or gatherings?
Guest
When I am in the area I usually read the Nation on Fridays for that info......... even if I seldom go to them.
whosyourdaddy
Look at the "What's on" section of fridays newpapers most weeks. Some weeks are good, others not so good. But for a city of 10 million it is rather sparce!!
Adams167
Hardly a good statistic surely? Of the 10 million I would guess that 9.5 are too busy earning a liivng, and have no disposable income, to worry about - or be interested in - what's on at the Patravadee Theatre this weekend. pattaya127
maybe for 10 million, but we only talks about one person, you, me, anyone, would would wish to attend certain events. the point is, so many times, i have claimed to myself, i will go see this or see that, and don't do it when the day shows up. I' have only myself to blame if i was to complain there is nothing to do in BKK.
markle
I tend to agree that there is still alot to do in BKK but another reason people don't go is due to the difficulty of getting around.

Khun_Kong
Like some others, I read all the time, although seldom attend. BKK cannot match NYC, London, Madrid etc., but there ARE many cultural events, if one wants to seek and travel. Not quite so many in PTY, but still sanuk here! pattaya127
There are probably more cultural events on my single bookshelf and inside my CD wallets than in the whole of Pattaya!
samak
you have only a single bookshelf!.... and this you call cultural eventful!
