At about 10Pm we got the letter saying we must close. Shortly after police came around and refunded the money. Refundable graft. Only in Thailand. Sukhumvit Posted March 5, 2004 Report Share Posted March 5, 2004 Loads of places closed this afternoon in Pattaya. You can still get a drink though as other bars are open. Whether the go gos will be open tonight is debateable. One girl tells me her bar is not opening but some others will be. The Immigration Police are also shut today until Monday. Got my hotel receptionist to check if Hard Rock Cafe is open. it is but NOT SERVING ALCOHOL - whats the point - could be a challenging night, but Im sure I'll find some vice somewhere.
