MadStockBroker
A dry day ?? Tomorrow (Friday) is a public holiday. Also it is a religious day. In Nana last night a couple of bars told me that they would not be able to serve booze in the evening. MSB
Chanchao
That's why God created the 7-Eleven. ;-) And coffee mugs. I always love these days, I kind of enjoy the challenge. But I'm dissaoppointed almost every time, as it turns out getting a drink isn't that much of a challenge at all.......... Cheers, Chanchao

Nervous_Dog
Can't you ever say anything nice! Trouble is it depends on the 7/11. Some of them will serve Farang alchahol, some won't (Like in my street!) Once I walked in, bought some beer, and a sad Thai chap was refused, went back in and bought him some beer! My advice, by some today and put it in your fridge! JB
BlazingStarz
Places like Patpong and other major areas always tend to have something going on, it is very rare for the entire place to totally shut down.
samak
Makabucha Day was not always a enforced dry day as its more important "sisterholidays" kao pansa, wisakabucha and asakabuch. however given the current environment i would not plan for a big party in public... Guest
Usually we get a letter a few days before saying we must close. This time was different. Police came around to several bars and collected money so we could stay open. This as late as 8PM. At about 10Pm we got the letter saying we must close. Shortly after police came around and refunded the money. This is Lumphoni police. Don't know what is happening in other districts. But, the Nana area will be closed tighter than a drum tonight...or not.
Guest
Glad to hear you got a refund :: Just goes to prove they (police) don't know what is happening a lot of the time either.
