Roger
Well, Thanks for all your suggestions.. We satrted off with doing the elephant show, elephant ride, rafting down the river... far more enjoyable than i expected. Followed by a trip to see the Pandas at the zoo. Lunch was typical northern fare ( Nam Prik Num, Khao Soi etc). Then it was a visit to a couple of temples in the city area followed by a couple of nice cool drinks in the lobby of the Royal Princes whilst we waited for the night bazaar to set up. A mad couple of hours shopping... more food and back to Bangkok. By the way, we got a car with driver from the airport for 1,400 Baht for the whole day... very good driver and very knowledgable... All in all a great day... We both thouroughly enjoyed ourselves... thanks for all the suggestion... it's a pity there was only one day.. but it was a full one Regards Roger
