gene1944
Does anyone know of a book that shows the Bangkok bus routes around town? I find that the few buses that I have taken always seem to turn off the main streets before I hoped they would. Apreciate any help.
Guest
I also would like to have a busmap of bkk. On his website Bangkokphil mentions the "blue and yellow" busmap which seems to be very good. Anyone knows where you can buy it?
Stickman
You can buy the blue and yellow bus map just about anywhere - but Asia Books is a good bet as they have a large selection of maps. There is a site with routes for all of the buses, but I can't seem to find it in my bookmarks.
thalenoi
There is also a wealth of information on Bangkok busroutes on following websites: http://www.bmta.motc.go.th/mainframe-services-e.html http://www.into-asia.com/destinations/bangkok/busroutes.php [ June 29, 2001: Message edited by: thalenoi ]
JAYBLOOM
Years ago as a summer exchange student in Guadalajara,Mexico, I spent the whole summer trying to find a bus map. The Mexicans think that it is more polite to give a wrong answer than just do say "I don't know". I finally concluded that no such thing exists! For Bkk, your in luck. I have a map that has the bus #'s imposed on the streets on the map. It's not exactly a bus guide because you constantly have to follow the numbers on the map to see where the bus goes next. I bought it from my travel agent(now my Issan wife) at OM Travel on the corner of Soi 5 Sukhumvit. My wife thinks that they still carry it.If that doesn't work, on the bottom of the map it says "Distributed by: Union Center Tel 234-0001 or 510-4102". I think a lot of the book stores carry it also.
