Pescator
Are you familiar with this expression? I have found that quite a few thai guys seem rather preoccupied with young girls... who said underage.... And I have often heard the expression "Orh Orh" being used. Have no idea about the spelling. Was wondering is this a real word or merely the same as in english when you for instance want to let a child know that what he/she is up to right now is a no-no, "orh orh/arh arh?" Adams167
I think they are probably saying "Orn Orn", roughly translated as "very fresh" or "very young" .
Pescator
Hi Adams You could definitely be right on that. Hard to tell as I have only heard it pronounced staccato-like and a long time ago. Thanks for your clarification. Cheers Hua Nguu
MooNoi
Yes, just asked my faen about this word and is it used to talk about young girls... from the dirty look I got, I can confirm that it is! "Orn Orn" - pronounced staccato-like. Best not to use it amongst strangers methinks!

Crash999
My dictionary told me that the term is used by older men to refer to 'wairun' (teenage girls) in a bit of a degrading way, as in a massage parlor an older guy would call the girls 'orh orh'. Cheers!
keekwai
aw-aw, sow ah-ah. I recall hearing it used in the North quite often. Always seemed to refer to teenaged girls. There was nothing sinister or degrading about using it as far as I could tell. Well maybe if it was spoken by a hua nguu.
