Torneyboy Posted June 1, 2004 Report Share Posted June 1, 2004 How do you help/teach a Thai these sounds/words with these letters. Trying to help a ten year old boy with these words at the moment. We have homework every night (for all of us)..English words and a Thai translation so is understood. Thanks to Zaads idea we have bright orange stickers on objects with English words.....light switch,fridge etc etc. Is very hard work i must say. School is very good ..but any ideas most welcome. Straycat Posted June 1, 2004 Report Share Posted June 1, 2004 personally I try to find the equivalent in Thai and go from there....for example the Swedish word 'sju' is very difficult for the missus to pronounce -- so I point to the fact that the start of 'Chulalongkorn' is quite similiar and so on...you get the point...
