Guest
Artiew, I don't know if you are taken by some romantic notion of Toowoomba, but it only reminds me of the one thing it is statistically famous for, being the domestic violence capital of Queensland. I know it is scenic in parts, but each to their own, I get a creepy feelin whenever I drive through it. As for Aussies in the UK, I was there for 4 years and did my upmost to avoid the whole Aussie/Kiwi/SouthAfrican thing. Nothing worse than being surrounded by a bunch of 21 year olds full of fosters singing along to "Khe Sahn" and other chisel/Barnsey favourites. I love my country, for sure, but sometimes the natives make me cringe. Cheers PS
gobbledonk
I love my country, for sure, but sometimes the natives make me cringe. Spot on, PS, spot on. I'm going to have that printed on a T-shirt, and wear it proudly throughout SE Asia.

gobbledonk
At least you can tell people you are *Canadian* ! I've been glared at so many times that I now greet anyone with a North American accent with 'So, what part of Canada are you from ?' ......
