Guest
It probably depends on how cost sensitive you are. Here are a few methods, but there are many more: -a 10 million baht investment in Thailand gets you permanent residency -a 3 million baht investment in Thailand gets you a year -you can do 60 day tourist visas and extend them 30 days -you can hit a border country every 30 days -marry a thai girl

Guest
Putting money in a Thai Bank account is an acceptable investment. It can also go into a condominium for instance. They do cover their bases by assuring the money is not removed from Thailand for a year to prevent people from putting the money in, applying, then taking it out once they get the visa. aussiedoug
You may be able to draw it out of the bank after you get the visa, but when you have to renew the visa each year you have to show it back in the bank.

Heard something that last for six month? How long does it take to get a visa?, must I go abroad? And how much? For renew a 30 days visa is only to pass the border ? No time limits?
