Zaad
Hi, My TG went to renew her passport yesterday and to my great surprise she got the exact same passport back with simply some sort of a 'renewal stamp' on the next page after the info (first) page. In other words, she was allowed/forced to keep her 5 year old pic...which will be 10 years old after expiry of her current (new) passport. WOW, talking about updating info here :: WTF??? P.S. those big cheeks of hers when she was a teenager are long gone but pic shows otherwise ::
BelgianBoy
Zaad, Yep, same happened to my GF last year....... In a sense its good as its shows / proofs previos trips, on the other hand, not too many free pages left........ BB
lopburi3
A Thai passport is only valid for five years so there is one renewal available for another five years. A US passport is valid for 10 years. Same photo age. Now if you want old - my Thai drivers license has my photo from 1969 - I only wish still looked like that. Lamock Chokaprret
My wife recently went through the same process. Had me a bit worried because of the 10 year US visa she has - which I didn't want to have to go through getting for her again. But no problems, 2-3 days wait time. lopburi3
A US visa is valid in an expired passport. You just present both when enter the USA. Good thing to file in the memory bank.
