"For only $20, attendees can virtually send their palates to Belgium at one of Boston's most unique beer festivals ever, from Lambics to Dubbels and Tripels to Witbiers, the Belgian Beer Fest will have a beer for everyone and provide a great opportunity to learn more about the very diverse world of Belgian beer." Jason Alström, Brother and Co-Founder, added, "We're working hard to make this one of our best fests ever. Expect a staggering line-up of beers and some very special offerings, too."

To inaugurate the Belgian Beer Fest, *****.com has commissioned the creation of a special-edition Belgian-style beer to be served at the fest. Working with Brewmaster Dann Paquette of The Tap in Haverhill, MA, the Alström Brothers will formulate and craft the beer with Paquette during a special open house brew day, where everyone is invited to explore the brewing process as it happens. Details on the beer and brew day will be released shortly.

*****.com will also be working with local restaurants to present a selection of Belgian-style cuisine, and partnering with Formaggio Kitchen to offer a new beer and cheese program, which will include a savory selection of artisanal cheeses and plenty of beer and cheese pairing education.

The Belgian Beer Fest is being held on Saturday, November 6, 2004 at The Cyclorama at the Boston Center for the Arts. Session One (1pm-5pm) and Session Two (6pm-10pm) are only $20 in advance or $25 at the door. Special Connoisseur Passes are available for both sessions at $30 in advance only, limited to 125 tickets per session, and are expected to sell-out quickly. Advance ticket purchases are recommended.

Any American based members out there willing to attend and send us a report? Suadam....you're in the US now, aren't ya? A coincidence? :D

P.S. left the name of the site out of the article as I don't intend to promote anything here.

It would appear your knowledge of American beers is limited to the crap macro brewers such as Bud, Miller, Coors, etc.

There are now a plethora of micro brewers who put out stuff that rivals pretty much anything out there.

I would suggest trying to get ahold of anything by Alesmith Brewery, Three Floyds Brewery, North Coast, Dogfish Head, etc. They all brew best in class beers.

Forget Sam Adams, it's piss.

If you're up for it Dogfish Head has a World Wide Stout at 18.8% abv and 120 Minute IPA at 23.2% abv.

BTW, we also have some excellent Belgian style ales some of which are brewed by micro start ups with roots in Belgium.

One of the best quads I've had anywhere is Three Philosophers brewed in the US by a Belgian outfit, Brewery Ommegang.

Just so you know.
