An added benefit of GMAIL-virtual hard drive

Initially I was not crazy about using Gmail but after a couple of months I am really starting to like it.

I have come across an application in which you can turn Gmail into a virtual drive- which may be useful for you soft or hard porn guyus who worry about getting your P4P photos/media/film/etc through customs.

Hi jjsushi,

many thanks for the link.

I like it, very simple to install and ingenius to say the least.

I was most surprised to find that it remembered the files I had transferred even after a reboot and also when I "Archived" the files!

Since this works then no doubt the next step is for someone to write the off-line reader?

Cheers,

jjsushi,

Thanks for that link. It works pretty slick. All you need is an option to password protect the faux-disk so any folders in there are closed to prying eyes. It would be a great way to hide files.

Wonder if gmail will figure out a way to block it. Space being used up and no one looking at their ads. :o

I liked gmail from the first moment I tried it. The labels and search capabilities take email to a new place. I was always looking for things in old emails. Now *poof* it's there. I like my gmail account more than the limitless space accounts I have with my websites.

>>> I signed up on their list thing ages ago and heard nothing. Is gmail now widely available ?

Try http://www.gmailswap.com/

Some of the things offered are hilarious, the one that comes to mind is "Chicago bodyguard offers one day free for a Gmail account"

Cheers,
