Guest
Cheers. I hear this when I try and say something funny to my friend (thai). What does she mean by "toie laaw"? (it rhymes with 'boy -cow' thanks,
samak
you probably mean tor lae (lae with rising tone)? it means tell lies, tell dirty lies, make something up.
frogpatrol
yep, that would be my guess too. Very often said in a humorous, light way, much in line with the "make something up" idea that Samak mentions. f
Guest
Thank you! (yes the lae) is a rising tone. Good, she tends to say in in a light-hearted way...usually after I tell her something sweet. thanks alot for the info. cheers.

Guest
Hi, >>>>>Quite impolite slang though.<<<<< To say the least!. Just asked gf, and she said is 'fighting words'. Means 'liar'. Very bad word. Spoken often among katoey's. Of course, if spoken among friends, can be used not so serious, I'm sure. "Sounds like boy-cow"...........as in 'toi laew', would mean, "use(s) hand, already". Maybe her way of saying "You're just jerking off again". ??? Or "go jerk yourself off, already".
